Prayer Requests

Dr. S. M. Zwemer, a Christian scholar on Islam, said: "The history of missions
is the history of answered prayer...it is the key to the whole missionary
problem. All human means are secondary." God has not called everyone to
go to the battle, but He has called everyone to pray.

Sunday

For our families to be lights in this dark nation. That we will be fully obedient to the Lord and sensitive to the leadings of His Spirit. For wisdom to balance ministry, family, and time with the Lord. That we will be Godly parents and that our children will love God passionately and obey Him wholeheartedly.

Monday

That God will continue to raise up Thai leaders (especially male leadership) in our congregation. For the leaders that we currently have to be strong in their faith, able to stand firm against all the schemes of the evil one, able to share their faith passionately and boldly, and to live blamelessly "in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation among whom they would shine like stars in the universe." Male leaders: Sak, Aek, Bay and Jua. Female leaders: Ying, Pong, Suay, Bee, All, Rang, Joy, Na, and Ying.

Tuesday

For God's mercy on the Thai people. That years and years of idolatry and Buddhism and Animism would be overturned and that people would be aware of the gaping emptiness in their souls and seek the Lord wholeheartedly. That God would pour out the spirit of Revival on Thailand and that each Thai person would come to know God. That the veil that covers the mind of unbelievers would be lifted and that they would be able to clearly understand the gospel message.

Wednesday For church unity. That, as a church body, we would love each other more. That each of us would look not only to his own interests but also to the interests of others. That we would be completely humble and gentle; that we would be patient, bearing with one another in love. That the devil would have no foothold. That no unwholesome talk would come out of our mouths but only that which is helpful for building others up. That the Spirit of God would not be grieved.

Thursday For the children in our church to be faithful to the Lord all their lives, mighty in courage, boldness and love, spreading the love of Christ everywhere they go. That they will grow up to marry Christians and have Godly families. That their parents will have wisdom and discernment to raise them as God intends for them to be raised. Male Thai Children: Oy (age 3), Ice (4), Chris (8), Num (13), Go (17), Stamp (4), Cham (3), Top (16), Boone (12). Female Thai Children: Nuu Lek (10), Saw (15), Suay (8), Jute Jang (10), Porn (4), Maanaw (2). Missionary children: Michael (9), Brently (9), Ashlee (8), Breck (7), Kanaan (6), Joshua (5), Josiah (4), Southern (3), Jacob (2), Jonathan (1), Isaiah (1).

Friday The majority of our church members are young and single. Almost all of them are first generation Christians. Pray that they will marry Christians and have marriages that reflect the relationship that Jesus has with His bride, the Church. Pray that they will have Godly families and receive the Lord's inner healing from the dysfunctional families that some of them were raised in.

Saturday Tomorrow is Sunday! Pray that God will move mightily in His Church. That His words will be spoken, that His Spirit will be welcomed, that His name will be honored and praised. That the Kingdom of God would advance in Thailand and every stronghold of Satan would be destroyed in the Powerful Name of Jesus. Some of the most obvious strongholds in Thailand are Buddhism, Animism, sexual immorality, family dysfunctionalism, apathy, fear, and busy-ness.

We thank God for you and your faithful prayers for our family and our team.

'Arise, shine , for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you. Nations will come to your light and kings to the brightness of your dawn.'
Isaiah 60:1-3
