Family Eulogy for

Anna Myrtle Cowsert Rehfeldt
October 22, 1890 - October 19, 1959

Mrs. Anna Rehfeldt was born October 22, 1890 to Robert Cowsert and Julia Chambers Cowsert in Golconda, Illinois. She married Phillip Richard Rehfeldt on Christmas Eve 1907. Their home was blessed with three children, Eula May, Remiss Richard and Romiss Robert (identical twins).

She was active in the church doing children's work, Sunday school lessons, and missionary endeavors. She was very proud of her children, especially her son Remiss who went to college and became a preacher.

She died October 19, 1959 with cancer in Herrin, Illinois after a lengthy illness and much pain. Eula (her darlin') was with her much of the last months of her life. At one point, she saw a dove at the end of her bed and was comforted by the presence of the Holy Spirit. Many times her sons were called to her bedside. Remiss and his family came from Kansas City and sang songs and prayed with her. Romiss and his family came from Freeport to be with her and comfort her. She was buried in Herrin on October 22, 1959 which was her earthly birthday.
