Bertha Lou Thomas, 76, of 316 Nevada Ave., Carterville, died at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in her home. She had lived in Carterville 50 years.

She was born February 1, 1891, in Golconda, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Redfeldt (sic). Her husband, William Alvin Thomas, died in 1950.

She was a member of the First Apostolic Church in Carterville.

Mrs. Thomas leaves a daughter Mrs. Lucille Anderson of Carterville; sons Lester of Riverside, California and Bonnie of California; brothers Otis Redfeldt (sic) of Rockford, George of Towana, PA, and Fred of Carbondale; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Riggin Funeral Home, Carterville. (Illinois)
