Two lines of Densch families are traced back to Germany. The John Densch family (1799-1800) came from Hesse Kassel area of Germany. They passed through Illinois and setttled in German Ridge at Hokah, Minnesota. From there some went into Wisconsin and Canada.
Our Ancestors Johan Densch (1808-1865) came from Baden, Germany and settled in Pope County, Illinois. He was a farmer living near Waltersburg and both he and his wife are buried on the family farm on Densch Road in Harrisburg, Pope, Co., Illinois. The Densch family still own that farm today.
