It's the first annual "She's out of her mind!" Photo Show!
April 10-14, 1999
Judge: Amy Wegner
The cold, hard facts: ***Change: THIS SHOW'S PROFITS WILL GO TO THE ERICA STARR CZERWINSKI SCHOLARSHIP FUND! PLEASE HELP ME RAISE MONEY FOR THIS FUND, IT IS THE LAST THING I CAN EVER DO FOR MY FRIEND! April 11, 1999 would have been her 20th birthday.*** This is the first of a year-long photo show series I'm going to host where points will be kept and the horse that accumulates the most points at the end will win a nice prize. Other show dates to be announced.
Entry fee for each show: $5.00 (Please make checks or MO's payable to Amy Wegner)
Photo limit: 75 photos per entrant. Sorry for the cap, but at the last show some people entered so many horses that I had a nightmare of a time sorting them out when I was going to return them! This will also ensure that the horses are the cream of the crop, the pride of their respective stables!
Where to send entries to:
Please email me for the address to send your entries to!
What to send:
Your pictures. Please send them and your entry fee in a plastic bag if possible, with your name, address, email, number of photos entered, and anything else you need to say written on the outside. Please also include enough postage to send your photos home. Results will be available online, but please note if you wish to have a printed out copy and enclose enough postage for that to be sent home as well. Also, make sure that a SASE is in the envelope. PHOTOS MUST BE RECEIVED BY APRIL 9, 1999!
What to put on the back of your photos:
In one corner, please have your name and address. In another corner (or in the middle) please have the horse's name, breed, age, and gender. Apply tape or a label to the back of the picture and write the class numbers on it that your horse is entered in. A good tip is to also use a special sticker on the back of all your photos. Using the same or similar sticker on your photos will make it easier for the judge to divide them out in the end and will make the odds better that you get all your precious photos back!
Other applicable rules:
--Enter the horses as many times as they are eligible, but no horse should be entered in a DIVISION more than once. (ie, a standing chestnut Thoroughbred mare can be entered only once in gender, color, breed, pose, and size divisions.)
--Please place yearling, weanling, and foals in the foal class. I will disqualify any of these models that are being shown otherwise. Please do not enter the babies in breed classes. (They can be entered in the color, pose, and size divisions though.)
--For the mascot class, please explain WHY this is your mascot!
--The CM division includes both customized horses created from mass-produced molds as well as Artist Resins and original sculptures.
--For get of sire and produce of dam classes, I need a picture of the mare or stallion and pictures of at least TWO of their foals. ("Foals" can refer to ADULT horse models as well, so long as they can realistically be the produce of the sire or dam, meaning that there are no conflicts in ages, etc.)
The other good stuff: PRIZES
--Some winners will receive carousal horses. I have two of them (one large and one small) and they are very cute. These may be the overall champion prizes, OR I may choose to customize 2 special horses to be given as prizes. (Winners must provide for shipping expenses of their winnings.) All DIVISION winners will receive a coupon from Fleur-de-Lis Studios for $10 (Division Champ) and $5 (Division Reserve) of customizing services.
