Broughtons of Ellis Island
Millions of immigrants braved
the oceans to land on the shores of America and many entered the
gates of the New World at Ellis Island where the flames of freedom
beckoned from the hand of Lady Liberty. Some certainly answered
to the name Broughton. Their names are engraved in our nation's
memory on the American Immigrant Wall of Honor which circles the
statue. For those who cannot travel to see the wall firsthand,
we've honored them here as well.
