Thomas Broughton & Family Thomas Broughton was born circa 1613 in Gravesend England. His father's name was Edward Broughton. Thomas would not stay in England however, eventually moving to the United States. In America, Thomas met and married Mary Biscoe in approximately 1643 in Watertown Massachusetts. Shortly thereafter the Broughton couple moved to Boston where Thomas became a merchant. It was in Boston where the couple had and raised their nine children. Thomas lived until the turn of the century. He died November 12, 1700. Research information was submitted by Jim Martens, a descendant of Thomas Broughton.
