Occasionally,
Harold sends us photos of Lincoln, Nebraska and surrounding area.
Enjoy the tour! (Apologies,
Harold. A lot is lost in translation of a photo from WORD document
to JPG.)

Lincoln, Nebraska |
I heard that Nebraska
was in the middle of nowhere.
Lincoln has a road that goes there! |
This
life-size gorilla stands outside a tattoo, etc., shop a couple
miles from our house.
He
changes his look at least once a month – except for right after
September 11. At that point he was given this beautiful, patriotic
look (some of his paint jobs are rather poor) and it stayed on him
for several months.

Redone
retaining wall. This shot shows the downstairs window I replaced too
(lower right). The old window consisted of four, swing-out windows,
which is not up to code. They were also well rotted and one was even
sagging at an angle.

College View SDA Church. |
These
last two images were shot at Mahoney State Park on the Platte
River. The above waterfall is on a small creek that meanders
through the park. |
This
shot was taken from the top of an observation tower built on the
highest knoll in the area. It is claimed that on a clear day
from that vantage point one can see about 80% of the population
of Nebraska. |
You want me to do what? |
Ever get that sinking
feeling? |
At last, some privacy! |
