The festival application process takes so long. Not why this should be since I essentially gather the same info and write the same things. So many things to do, though. Maybe if I were set up like a business and did it day in day out it would be old hat by now. At any rate I realized while walking to the post office yesterday with my box of offerings that in many ways it's the process itself that is of most value. Something about seeing a project through to completion, thoruh the jaws of rejection, is of immense educational and artistic value, especially a project like this. Don't know if I could consider myself a complete person without it, standard form letter rejections and all.

A success or two wouldn't hurt either.
