This film will never end. Maybe it's like other projects that get harder as you near the finish. But I think it has more to do with the fact that film making is something you can't leave at the office. At least I never seem to be able to. Actually, I don't really work on it at the office at all. Hmm, I think I might be on to something... ;^)
Anyway, saw The Great Gatsby the other night. I thought that was a good film. Romance stuff kind of went on a bit, but who am I to complain about that? You can often tell when a film comes from a well-written book. Symbols tend to be well-defined. Never a guarantee that the book will translate well into a script or a movie, but in this case I think it did.
Man A falls in love with Woman B who is now married to Man B. Meanwhile Man B has an affair with Woman C. Man A becomes rich and finds and beds Woman B. Man C discovers that Woman C is sleeping with somebody and suspects Man B. Meanwhile Woman B unwittingly runs over Woman C who thinks she is running to Man B. Man C accuses Man B of seducing and killing Woman C, but man B convinces Man C it was really Man A. Man C then kills Man A. Man D writes it all down.
Got all that?
