You cannot depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.

Mark Twain

In June 1993, I was introduced to a place called FurryMuck. What a bizarre concept! In no time at all, however, I found myself enjoying the descriptive possibilities of this anthropomorphic realm. My first character was a lioness, named Shiana. I enjoyed describing her and her home, but I really did not venture into Furry itself very much.

In December 1993, I decided that one character was not enough. I wanted to meet more people and Shiana was a bit limited by her situation. I created Kiara by taking over a friend's old character and completely changing everything about it, even the name.,. At first, Kiara was an anthropomorphic panther, pictured here. In the fall of 1994, my roleplaying took on a different turn and I became a vampire. You can see the results in Kiara's Realm. I still, however, can morph to the panther, or a human form.

At this point, let me interject and say that, although Mark's vision of my characters most closely resembles my own, other artists have drawn Kiara and Shiana. I appreciate their work and find much of it to be quite lovely. Please take the opportunity to visit the gallery to see their work.

It was not until the Spring of 1996 that I decided to add another character to my repertoire. Her name was Evanescent, the naiad. I still use that character infrequently, but she was such a sweet and gentle being that I decided to create a new morph for her. Most of my forms are predators, so I wanted to experiment with a strange predator/prey mixture. Evanescent, the vampire bunny morph, was born.

These beings stepped out of my mind's eye and into text. Parts of my personality brought life to each of these characters. Not only did I learn to roleplay with these characters, but I met some wonderful friends through them. I want to thank Mark, again, for helping me to make their images come to life, to show people what I see. Who knows what we will dream of next?
