HISTORY OF THE COMIC CLUB

by JON DAILEY

This newsletter was started in September of 1995 by Jon Dailey. It was started as a newsletter that was sent through snail mail to the lovers of comic books. Until March of this year, it was delivered through snail mail only. Later on in the month of March, we decided to send out the newsletter through email.

Our first 5 issues were sent out by USPS. (The fifth issue was also sent through email.) Many people started asking for our newsletter to see who we were. At the time, there was a real lack of comic news on the internet. The only real and availible source for articles and information was CBEM. I have seen quite a few newsletters come and go since we started.

In each issue we have strived for excellence and to serve the customer best. This has been a hard task. Since we started in March, we have brought over 150 pieces of news, 11 interviews, and many quality reviews.

The Comic Club has been revamped on three different occasions, with the homepage being revamped for its first time at the beginning of October. We have had three editors (including myself) since we started, and I remain the publisher. Our staff has come and gone, and we have found out who has remained loyal.

I hope this gives you some info on how we got started and what we have done since we started. If you would like anymore information, please feel free to email myself. You can also now get some of our original issues that were printed. The range in 3-6 pages in length, and will cost $2 for 1 issue, or $6 for the 5 that were printed.

Thanks
