Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins (and beyond):
Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna have sold their rights to the Terminator franchise. The rights to produce any future Terminator films and certain rights to The Sarah Connor Chronicles were acquired by The Halcyon Company. Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins is tentatively scheduled for a summer, 2009 release.
The script for this film is written by John Brancato and Michael Ferris, and is intended to serve as the first in a new trilogy of Terminator movies. Christian Bale is set to star in the new trilogy, and McG is rumoured to be the director on T4. Read more in an article from Variety, and at The Halcyon Company's website.
