Introduction:
Luna Sea is composed of: Ryuichi - Vocals, Sugizo - Guitar and Violin, Inoran - Guitar, J - Bass, and Shinya - Drums. Luna Sea has officially been together since 1989 and have since grown to become one of the most popular Japanese rock bands. It's easy to see why with their melodic rock music created with Ryuichi's clear vocals, Sugizo's creative guitar playing, Inoran's consistent excellent rhythm guitars, J's pounding bass rhythm and of course Shinya's strong percussions.
Note: This page may look very familiar because it is a copy of my old In My Dreams: Visions of Sugizo page. I decided since it was becoming a general Luna Sea page to make it into such.
News / Stuff:
It appears that Luna Sea is breaking up due to creative differences, according to Sugizo's announcement they no longer mesh together like before. *However* they are not calling this a band break-up as they say they will get together again when they feel the need to start making music together again - a year, 5, 10 whatever.
Luna Sea has announced a break-up (?) - we think. Their words are "Luna Sea will draw the curtain after The Final Act" (The Final Act are the 2 concerts at Tokyo Dome in December on the 26th and 27th.) More on this when I get more info!
Brand New Luna Sea maxi-single slated for release on Nov 8, 2000. It will be called "LOVE SONG" c/w Into the Sun and Until the Day I Die - UUCH-5008, price is 1,260 yen
Luna Sea will play their Brand New Chaos concert tour in Asia! Taipei, Taiwan on Nov 18, 2000 and Hong Kong for 2 days on Nov 10-11, 2000.

Another Luna Sea tour called Brand New Chaos Act II from Oct to Dec of this year has been announced.
Released July 12. 2990yen, title: Lunacy. I guess the concert being called "Premiere of Lunacy" would make sense..

New Luna Sea summer tour begins July 15, ending Aug 11 called Brand New Chaos.
Luna Sea made it to the front page of the entertainment section of a local newspaper (sing tao - Vancouver) about Ryuichi and Sugizo's recent HK/TW promo appearances. I scanned in a pic if people are curious here.

Who saw the face on the new gravity single? :) It freaked me out at first, but VERY cool. Rumour has it that the "face" is actually a composite of the faces of all 5 LS guys.. hmm..
I'm a bit late on this, but Sugizo and Ryuichi will appear in Hong Kong and Taiwan in April to promote Another Heaven.
2 Another Heaven soundtracks will be released in April, featuring of course Gravity and My Lover.

The new Luna Sea single out 3/29 "gravity" - track list: 1. gravity 2. Inside You 3. My Lover - Gravity and My Lover are tie-ins with the Another Heaven tv drama and movie.
"Sweetest Coma Again" is now out on the Japanese release of the James Bond The World is Not Enough soundtrack.
