Obviously, this is the tent.
We set up tent about 10 yards from this grove of "smaller" sequoia trees. Small compared to what we saw the next day.
Brian had past experience with bearproofing a camp. Here, for about the 170,500th time, he attempts to toss a rope over a high branch. I provided moral support by taking a photograph.
He's really very good at this. There's all our scented stuff, wrapped up in my raincoat. Luckily it didn't rain.
I don't have any photographs of the two earthquakes that occured later that night. They would just be sort of blurry and dark, really, so maybe it's better that I don't.
