The Man In The Iron Mask is a historic tale, some truth, mostly legend. Leonardo DiCaprio (Romeo and Juliet and Titanic) is put to the ultimate test when he has to play two roles in the same movie but pulls it off remarkably well.
Leonardo's first role is as the arrogant, evil King Louis XIV. His country hate him and soon the time comes for something to be done. For years, locked away from life, has been a dark secret in an iron mask, Louis' twin brother. It has been many years since the bravest of his Royal Guard, The Musketeers have fought, but now they must unite against him, rescuing the man in the iron mask and fighting for their country, all for one and one for all.
Considering the historical content of the Musketeers, this film is suprisingly good. It's got a good storyline, nice use of costume, not so much fighting as to make you bored but enough to keep you on your toes, and most importantly, downright good acting. Another hit for our Leonardo.
