Scream, is a typical Hollywood horror film starring Neve Cambell ('The Craft' and the sucessful TV series 'Party of Five'), Courtney Cox ('Friends') and Skeet Ulrich. The three make a sucessful team of stars and create real nail biting, edge of the seat stuff.
It's about a young girl called Sydney (Neve Cambell), who begins to feel threatened when she starts to recieve prank calls, after the death of her mother a year ago and the more recent deaths of two of her fellow school students. Somebody tries to attack her, repeatedly but somehow, she manages to survive. She can't make up her mind who it is..... her boyfriend (Skeet Ulrich), her dad, someone from school, it could be anyone! How many lives are going to pay the price of her death and will she survive?
This film has a real 'whodunnit' theme to it, and anyone, whether a horror fanatic or simply just interested, should watch it. It's a personal favourite and I'm sure a few other's would agree with me there. The sequel 'Scream 2' has displayed Wes Craven's talent and he's proved that sequels don't always 'suck'.
