April 7, 1999 - "The Deanna Durbin Page" would like to send its condolences to Deanna Durbin David and her family upon the death of her husband of over 48 years, Charles Henri David. According to "The Deanna Durbin Society" newsletter, Mr. David died peacefully on March 1, 1999.

January 14, 1999 - Only five more days until the release of the three new Deanna Durbin videos!!! They all have spiffy new covers which you can see at Amazon.com. Just search under "Videos" for "Deanna Durbin." The first three results listed are the new videos. Click on them to see the new covers. It took me a while to get used to them, but I think they look pretty cool overall. Thanks to Darlene Harris for letting me know about the new covers and Paul Elliott for letting me know this link wasn't working properly!

Also, I am looking into a video company that most likely has Spring Parade for sale on video. The company is Captain Bijou, and I just sent for their catalogue. I'll keep you updated on whether or not it is available.

November 27, 1998 - I just checked Amazon.com and they indeed have the three new Deanna Durbin videos listed for release on January 19, 1999! Critics Choice Video also has them listed for purchase. I suppose its safe to say that the rumor has been confirmed, and that the videos will be released as originally thought. Thanks to Anita Henderson for letting me know about this.

November 26, 1998 - From what I hear, MCA/Universal is going to be releasing three more movies as part of their "Deanna Durbin Collection" on home video.  Supposedly, these movies are The Amazing Mrs. Holliday, Because of Him, and I'll Be Yours.  The release date is supposedly January 1999.  If you remember, last year in January 1998, MCA/Universal added Something in the Wind, Up in Central Park and For the Love of Mary to the collection.  I've e-mailed MCA/Universal about it, though I haven't received a response as of yet.  Hopefully, this rumor will prove to be true!
