Updates
Are you a frequent visitor or is it your first time
here? This is the place to be when you want to know what's new or
updated on "The Deanna Durbin Page." I plan on updating the website
regularly so you might want to keep this page bookmarked and check in every
so often!

I finally got around to updating the Because of Him and I'll Be Yours pages. Be sure to check them out!

Sorry about that everyone! There haven't been any updates to the site for too long, so I decided to add some new pictures. First of all, there is a new picture of a young Deanna at the top of the Pictures 1936-1940 gallery. Also, I added continuations to the Mad About Music and Can't Help Singing pages to hold the new photos from these films. There is also a new photo on the second Lady on a Train page. Hope you like them and look for more updates to come in the summer months!

Okay! Why didn't anyone let me know that the pictures in the Videography section weren't working?! I didn't notice it until today! I fixed everything (and finally added the three new videos), so be sure to check it out!

Added information to the News pages regarding Charles David's death. Charles Henri David, who directed Deanna Durbin in her 1945 film Lady on a Train, was also her husband for over 48 years. According to "the Deanna Durbin Society" newsletter, Mr. David passed away peacefully on March 1, 1999. Our sympathies go out to Miss Durbin and her family at this time.

Wow! A whole month without updates! Sorry - I've been very busy lately. However, thanks to Rita Piro (again!) I have a whole slew of new fan magazine articles about Deanna. I scanned some new pictures for the photo galleries from them. They are located at the bottom in the following galleries: Pictures 1936-1940 and Pictures 1941-1945. Hope you like them!

I bought the new videos last week and added them to their respective pages: The Amazing Mrs. Holliday, Because of Him and I'll Be Yours. Now that I've finally seen the latter two, I'll be redoing their pages in the near future. I also enlarged the pictures of the videos on the other film pages so you can see them better. I also added a new (and quite unusual) picture of Deanna to the 1941-1945 Picture Gallery. It's at the very bottom. Hope you like it!

Added a new article from the April 1939 edition of Modern Screen magazine called For Young Ladies Only. Of course, its not - all Deanna fans should find it interesting! Be sure to check it out!

Updated the News page about the new videos.

Due to the fact that I now have more than a couple pictures for some films, I had to make new pages in order to show them. I did this to avoid lengthy loading times for the pages, which would occur if they had more than two pictures. Thus, you can check out all the new pictures on the new pages for these films: First Love, It's a Date, and Lady on a Train. I also finally got around to adding a new CD I recently bought, Kiss Me Again to the Discography. Be sure to stick around for more updates in the future!

I just added some pictures to most of the film pages. They have been added to: That Certain Age, Spring Parade, Nice Girl?, It Started with Eve, His Butler's Sister, Christmas Holiday, Can't Help Singing, I'll Be Yours, Something in the Wind, and For the Love of Mary. Now, every film should have at least one picture - and I still have more to add!
On another note - I have put a lot of time, effort and hard work into creating this website for the enjoyment of Deanna Durbin fans around the world. Therefore, I was quite startled to find that other Deanna Durbin websites have been using photos and other images solely meant for use on this site without my permission, or the permission of others who have allowed me to use their pictures of Deanna exclusively for "The Deanna Durbin Page", and without giving proper credit. I would just like my visitors and fellow Deanna fans to know that all images used on "The Deanna Durbin Page" were either scanned by myself specifically for use on this website, or are being used with explicit consent from those who scanned them. Credit for all images has been given, as you can see, on each page. So, if you happen to see any of these pictures being used on other websites, please remember where they came from. If you would like to use any pictures or information on this site, please e-mail me and let me know.

I finally got around to re-watching The Amazing Mrs. Holliday and, just in time for Christmas, Christmas Holiday. I've redone the pages for each film, with more information and in-depth plot summaries. Be sure to check it out and stay tuned for more!
December 8, 1998
I added another article to the Articles section. It's called "Please Deanna, Don't Grow Up!" and comes from a 1938 magazine. Be sure to check it out! I also scanned two fan magazine pictures and put them in the 1941-1945 Picture Gallery. They are the two at the bottom. Hope you like them!

I divided the Magazines section into two parts - Magazine Covers and Articles. I have a few vintage fan magazine articles I'd like to share with you, and I found the time to type one up (and scan the picture from it as well). Its a very interesting article, and I hope you enjoy it!

As you can see - everything's updated!!! Actually, I'm not yet completely finished making changes to the site. I decided to put the site back up due to public demand. Look forward to more additions in the future, including updates to the Discography, Videography, The Amazing Mrs. Holliday, Christmas Holiday, and Magazines pages. I'll be adding more pictures, more information, even some vintage fan magazine articles! Stay tuned, and please sign the guestbook. Enjoy!
