Everything below is taken from e-mails that I have gotten. The first one, "Why Cossette?" has appeared in more than 50 e-mails! I decided that I was tired of explaining, and made this FAQ page. Besides, every other page has one!

1) Why "Cossette"??

Have you ever seen Les Miserables? I first heard the name there. I tried to get an e-mail address with Cosette spelled right, but it was taken. So, I added another 's' in it, and came up with Cossette. Then, to avoid confusion, I made my Internet name Cossette, for what use is having cossette@writeme.com as an e-mail address, and having something like "Scarlett1237854" as my Internet name?

2) Who are Wade and Ella?

In the novel, Scarlett O'Hara Hamilton Kennedy Butler had one child per husband. Wade Hampton Hamilton was the son of Charles Hamilton, Scarlett's first husband. Ella (I can't remember her full name) is the daughter of Frank Kennedy, Scarlett's second husband that she stole from her sister Suellen. The third child, as everyone knows, is Bonnie Blue Butler, the daughter of Rhett Butler. The first two children were not put into the movie because the movie was long enough and they were not that important. Many characters were cut out - eg. Will Benteen, Suellen's husband.

3) How can I make a Gone With the Wind Page?

I make my pages in notepad and with the GeoCities Advanced HTML Editor. It helps a lot when you know html. Making a page requires a lot of research, a lot of time, and a lot of patience. When I first put my page online, nothing worked. If you are making a page and are stuck, feel free to mail me. I will be happy to help.

4) Where can I meet other people who like GWTW??

The place where I met a lot of really neat people was at the bulletin boards which are no longer exist. :( I'm sure there are ways of getting GWTW pals, there are more bulletin boards out there but I haven't been around to find them.

5) Where can I get GWTW memorabilia?

6) Where can I get a re-release poster?

7) Is there a Gone With the Wind Club that I DON'T have to pay for?

Yes, there is. It is an online club called the "Fiddle-dee-dee Club". It seems like a great place so far. Click on the text to go to their homepage, and send an e-mail to join. It's FREE!

8) Out of the 4 main characters, who is still alive?

Out of Vivien Leigh, Clark Gable, Leslie Howard, and Olivia de Havilland, only Olivia de Havilland is still alive. She is over 80 years old and lives in France.

9) Where can I get a GWTW e-mail pen pal?

I have found that the best place is www.scarlett.org. There is a Pen Pal Bulletin Board. Just tell a bit about yourself, and leave your e-mail address. You have to sign up for the boards first. Or leave a message on my bulletin board. It isn't visited much, but it pays to publicize.

10) How do I get people to link to my page?

Here is an age-old technique... maybe not age-old, but still a good one. Send a mail to the administrator of a page and tell her/him that you are planning on linking to their page. People are usually really nice about this, and, in return, will add a link to your page. A good target for this is a page that already has a link page. If there is no link page, you are probably wasting your time, since there is no where for your link to go! But, it is always nice to give a link, link page or not. It also is a good idea to put your URL at the bottom of every mail you send. When I get that, I usually click on it to see what kind of page is there. If it doesn't give you a link, it at least gets you a hit!
