Quite possibly the most infamous of Troma's productions is the 1971 offering BloodSucking Freaks. The action takes place in a "grand guignol" theater where the audience doesn't know that the torturous acts taking place on stage are the real thing! As you can tell from the poster, Freaks is a senses-shattering blend of camp and gore that has to be seen to be believed.
Troma's latest release is an adaptation of a Shakespearean classic. . .Tromeo and Juliet adds the cult-classic flavor that Leonardo Di-what's-his-name probably never could! This soon-to-be Troma classic has began a limited run on the midnight movie circuit to fantastic reviews. And oh, those Tromettes! Look for the Troma fave Sgt. Kabukiman, NYPD to be released on video before the end of '97. The Troma Team is also hard at work on it's next big feature, Killer Condom. Keep your eye on the 'Den for more info on this anticipated premiere!! |
