Who is Yancy
Butler?
If you're asking this question, you're probably also wondering why there's a
whole site devoted to her - not to mention what you're doing here :)
Yancy Butler is a talented actor who has appeared in many films. starred in
a couple of television series and worked on many other projects. If legend is
to be believed, (well, maybe not legend exactly, but a couple of magazine articles),
YB started pursuing acting professionally to pay off her student loans after
being told she was too short to model (!!).
Most recently, YB has starred in Witchblade, a TNT movie and series
pilot and is working on the Witchblade TV series.

and now also singer for the reunited The Lovin' Spoonful, who was inducted into

Wow
- where can I get copies of her work?
Okay - the easy ones
to get a hold of are Hard Target, Drop Zone and The Ex, which
are still sold by video retailers.
Out of print or deleted movies such as The Hit List, Ravager, Annie's Garden
and Fast Money regularly crop up at online auction sites such as eBay,
Yahoo! or Amazon.com
while Let It Be Me also surfaces periodically on eBay
in VCD form.
The Witness Files has recently been released on video and DVD in the US
and Canada, Thin Air on video from A&E, and, while TNT's run of the
Witchblade movie seems to be over for now, it has cropped up on auction
sites as well (taped from TV though). It also appears that Warner Bros has released
this on video/VCD in some countries such as the Phillipines and Malaysia. Witchblade
will be released on video in Australia on April 18 and New Zealand on April
19.
Spin and Marty looks like it has been released on the US video rental market
and crops up on eBay occasionally..
As for the TV shows - Mann & Machine is repeated by the US's Sci-Fi
Channel every once in a while and in the UK Brooklyn South has been released
on video. Some cable shows have daily doses of Law & Order, so you
might luck out and catch "Misconceptions". Witchblade the series,
airs on Tuesday nights on TNT.
To check if any of YB's work is on US TV, click here
for TV Now's monthly schedule.
The audiobooks are available on amazon.com
and audible.com and sometimes pop up on the auction
sites..
Basically, if you're searching for harder to find works, try the auction sites
and if you can watch PAL videos (as opposed to the NTSC standard in the US)
a great site to have a look at is Blackstar
which offers a video search service for deleted titles as well.
Happy searching!

Okay, I
know who YB is now, but who are we?
There was a great term coined by a YB fan named
Chris* who suggested that all YB fans were Yancelots. It's cute,
it's punny and it's kinda catchy!
*Chumley noted this little gem on his site :)
Does YB have a fan
club or is there a mailing list?
As far as I know there is no official Yancy Butler Fan Club. Nor is there an
internet discussion/mailing list. The closest thing to either of these is the
Yancy Butler Club at Yahoo!, where you can join and chat about YB with a fantastic group of
people in the form of a bulletin board. You can either visit the board or choose
to receive messages via email and once a member you have access to the picture
galleries. Of course another huge bonus is that the people who gather at the
Yahoo! club are extraordinarily tuned in to all things YB and the latest news
is always posted there before it reaches any of the fan sites and before lazy
webmasters can update their sites (looks guiltily away). So, go on - join the
Yancy Butler Club at Yahoo!. It's all YB, all the time :)

Anything else you can tell
me?
Um...(searching) - one of YB's interests is completing the New
York Times daily crossword puzzle!
This is the round-about way of saying this FAQ is pretty much exhausted :)

Oh, BTW,
where can I find some nude pics?
AAARRRGGHHHHH!!!!! Do not ask me this question! I don't know,
I don't care to know and I don't care to know anyone who wants to know! (huh?
reads back last sentence slowly - yep, I meant exactly what I wrote).
Most people who visit this site and those that frequent the Yahoo! club (i.e.
fans) are infinitely more interested in finding out about YB's work and upcoming
projects and supporting those than scouring the net trying to download nude
pictures of her! In fact any offensive entries in my guestbook are prompty dealt
with and similar posts at the Yahoo! club aren't taken kindly to either. <end
rant>
