Pamela started out as a typist at Capital Radio in London, which led to short spots on the radio - in 1982 she started on television,on a health program 'Well being'. She then read 'News at Ten' from 1983 to 86 and moved to the BBC with a shortlived daytime interview show. She has since written a book about late motherhood, 'Beating the Biological Clock', and also works as an after-dinner speaker.

I wish I'd kept those cuttings from back then...

In fact, if anyone has any old pictures, even video recordings of 'News at Ten' or anything else which Pamela worked on, please get in touch.

Also someone contacted me mentioning a book, possibly called 'Women', possibly by Naimh Attalah (sic),that featured Pamela, published around ten years ago. Can anyone confirm details about this book? All the obvious internet searches have come up with nothing, so presumably we've got the name or title wrong.

- a recently reprinted 'News at Ten' publicity shot.
