Vote for "Girl On TV" video November 8, 1999
Well, maybe. YOU CAN PUT HER THERE!!! I'm not sure how many of you know, but JLH is in the new LFO video, "Girl on the TV." It was one of TRL's "close calls" Friday, so that means they're close to hitting the top 10 on TRL. It seems that now, more than ever, we need to launch that TRL campaign for tomorrow.
I've seen the video, and Love is in it A LOT. You guys won't be disappointed!!!
I think MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8TH should be the day we bombard TRL with requests for the LFO "Girl on TV" music video. I mean, wouldn't it be great to see JLH on MTV every day?!?!?

JLH Sighting in NY today
My cousin saw Jennifer this morning in Manhattan. It was around 10:00, she was coming out of a coffee shop in midtown. Even my female cousin thought she was a babe... How about that !

JLH Live!! at Disney MGM Studios Florida September 5, 1999

I saw JLH live today at Disney MGM Studios Florida. She got her hands pressed in cement for their "walk of fame" and did an audience q&a.
OK, now the important part. She wore a skin tight black lycra top, blue jeans and boots. Her hair was wild and kind of frizzy with what looked like blonde highlights(?)
It turns out her chest looks so gigantic because she is one of the skinniest people I have ever seen. She could hula hoop through a Cheerio. I will post pics once they come back from the developer.

Movie "Telling You" March 13, 1999
Now on to the matter of Love's (not so) new movie, "Telling You". It reminded me a little of "Clerks", "Mall Rats" & "Chasing Amy" only with more normal characters or at least there wren't quite as many abnormal characters. It had an interesting perspective, which you can especially appreciate if you've ever been to New York or North Jersey, but you probably won't jump for joy. That is until you notice that Jennifer Love Hewitt's in it ! (Are you jumping yet ?) This was an independent (low budget) film directed by Rob DeMarco & produced by Dave DuPuy of Sudbury, Mass, which might explain why it opened at the Kendall Square Theater in Cambridge & then moved to General Cinemas in Framingham to begin a limited engagement showing.
Proceeds of the film will go to the Lukemia Foundation.
There were some interesting ideas under the plot, which unfortunately was mostly a weaker version of "Risky Business" mixed in with some NJ/NY color.
My 2 biggest complaints were that they left too many interesting sub plots dangling (Jennie Garth was in it for like 3 minutes.) She wasn't even listed with the cast, just in a long list of people under "Special Thanks To:" Sounds like she made a special deal with someone. & of course the biggest shortcoming: Love had only a minor part in it. She looked great, & her character was hilarious, but they didn't do a whole lot with her. Unless there was some bizarre financial reason, I'd say that was a big mistake. She did the phone scene that's in the trailer, which was great. She showed up at the pizza place for like a minute; & she was at the party & the aftermath, but mostly not saying anything except perhaps Deb Friedman's most memorable line. (I don't want to spoil it if you haven't seen it.)
The whole movie was only 90 minutes long, which suggests that they may have cut a lot out, possibly to fit it onto 100 minutes worth of film including the credits. I think this movie may have been used as a prototype for "Can't Hardly Wait", which would explain both extensive re-editing & the fact that it came out & then got bumped by "CHW", which had major distribution.

Casual meeting at The Coffee Bean November 29, 1998
What's up all? I just got back to school this evening and had a message on my machine from one of my friends saying to come down to her room as soon as I got the message. She was at The Coffee Bean in Hollywood this morning (Sunday) around 11am and in walks Love with a few of her friends. She looked over at Selin (my friend) and smiled, so Selin walked over to her and said she knew someone who loved her (me) and asked for an autograph. So on a piece of paper from her notebook, I now have "Brian- Love Always, Jennifer Love Hewitt" signed. It is awesome!!! Apparently stars are always hanging out around this place, so I'll have to start going there I guess ... She said that Love looked over and smiled three or four times and that she was really nice, obviously. Hopefully I'll see her there one day ... Talk to you later! Brian

A tremendous performance all around !
Love opened what turned out to be a better than average episode of SNL by singing a duet of "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" with hook-handed the fisherman from "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer". She appeared in several skits including:
* "The how do I say it ...ah, yes. Show" with Chris Kattan as the Hispanic host with an overactive libido
* A game show about getting movie deals
* "Clean Teen" with Molly shannon as "Mary Catherine Gallagher"
* A pregnant teenager giving birth while Will Farrell & Cheri Oteri as "Craig & Arianna" lead cheers
Love also introduced the "Beastie Boys" (including a rather outstanding 'scratch' performance by "Master Mike") for two solid musical numbers.
Love's numerous costume changes & great still photos in between skits added interest & variety to what was already close to a refresher course in Love as a multitalented performer. Based on her handling of the varied skits, I'd say she may have a future as the host of her own TV variety show. Any JLH fan who missed this would be well advised to beg borrow or steal a tape ASAP !!

Movie "Can't Hardly Wait" June 12, 1998
The audience atually clapped when the credits rolled by JLH's name both at the beginning & the end. This movie remains funny throughout by use of several independent sub plots. The soundtrack including Tone Loc to The Replacements is hot. The scene with Paradise City by Guns 'n' Roses was hilarious.
The cop at the jail was named "Bobbit" as was one of the technical support people.
Amanda Beckett reminded me a lot of Sarah Reeves at times.

The Tonight Show with Jay Leno June 2, 1998
Wearing a bright red dress & some kind of black danskin, Love told stories about her recent vacation in Hawaii & how she was teased as a kid for her "big ears". She described her latest movie, "Can't Hardly Wait" & thrilled & entertained with her beautiful smile & contagious energy.

I thought you may want to add to your site this little tidbit. Thursday, May 20th, I met and interviewed Jennifer Love Hewitt for a new show called FANatic where a big fan gets to meet and interview his/her favorite celebrity for the first time. It was an amazing experience to say the least. The show is supposed to air June 29th, and may be the first episode in the new series. If you want any info let me know.

I didn't get any pictures of Love. I didn't know I was going or I would have went all out. Flowers, pictures, new clothes, hair stylist. All being on MTV just added to the pleasure/pressure of finally meeting Love. She made me feel really comfortable, though. She is absolutely amazing. Have you met her before?
