KEVIN LANDS A NEW JOB!

Kevin is in Chicago as we speak, reunited with his boss of a decade ago, director Robert Falls. From September 18 to October 24, 1998, Kevin will play the part of Biff in the Goodman Theatre production of Arthur Miller's "Death Of A Salesman." Brian Dennehy will reprise his role as Willy Loman (Biff's Dad). Kevin last acted at Goodman (which also happens to be his alma mater) back in 1988, starring as Joey Evans in "Pal Joey," a production which Robert Falls also directed. For more information and tickets, be sure and visit the Goodman Theatre Website.

It's free, easy to install, easy to use and just fantastic because it enables you to hear even my longest clips without waiting two months for the files to download. I have some wonderful new stuff (if I do say so myself) on my Clips and Clip O' The Month pages, including the Emmy-nominated theme to "Nothing Sacred," a love song and an Easter hymn that you will just love. So get your Real Audio Player today.

ARE YOU GOING TO THE VQT CONFERENCE?

If so, you'll need to register by September 15, 1998. For more information, visit the Viewers For Quality Television website. The Conference will take place at the Burbank (California) Airport Hilton from October 1 to October 4, 1998. Not only will "Nothing Sacred" be honored with the Founders' Award but there will be an auction featuring such treasures as the "Nothing Sacred" script for "Hodie Christus Natus Est" (the Christmas episode) autographed by writers and cast; a black "Nothing Sacred" sweatshirt (size XXL); a black "Nothing Sacred" baseball cap; an autographed photo of Kevin (yes!!!); and most interesting of all - two paintings, one of the interior of St. Thomas Parish before the fire, one after the (Easter episode, never aired) fire. Each painting is 11x20 (inches?). I cannot say whether Kevin will attend. He did go to the last Conference (he's pictured with Calista Flockhart, left). This time, because of his theatrical commitments in Chicago (see above), he may be a no-show. Still, it sounds like fun!

"NOTHING SACRED" RECEIVES TWO EMMY NOMINATIONS

Congratulations to Michael Baugh, Production Designer, Cate Bangs, Art Director, and William Vail, S.D.S.A., Set Decorator, for their outstanding work on "Hodie Christus Natus Est" (the Christmas episode of "Nothing Sacred"). Congratulations also to Mark Isham, music composer, for his gorgeous "Nothing Sacred" main title theme. To hear it, please visit my Clips Page. The above talented professionals have been recognized by the Academy of Television Arts And Sciences with Emmy nominations. A special four-hour broadcast of the Emmy Awards will air on September 13, 1998 on NBC, beginning at 7:00 PM (Eastern and Pacific times, I believe). Don't miss the chance to cheer for our friends!

MONTHLY FEATURE: MY FAVORITE KEVIN LINK

How could I select anything except Bobbi M.'s brilliant tribute to Kevin's "Nothing Sacred" co-star, Scott Michael Campbell? SMC played the nebbishy Father Eric on "Nothing Sacred" but Bobbi shows him in a different light. Did you know that SMC (pictured left?) played a town bully in a small Appalachian berg, in the 1994 TV series "Christy"? I loved that show but certainly didn't remember that the man with the sweet choirboy face on "Nothing Sacred" also acted in that very different role. Congratulations, Bobbi, and keep up the good work!
