My name is Joe Esposito. My years with Elvis were wonderful and exciting times. I have so many memories and pictures of our life that I have put together in a new book called "Elvis... Intimate and Rare"
Through the 17 years I worked with Elvis, I found his greatest strength his personality. He could make people laugh and he was a very warm person. Whether it was on the road or on a movie set, we always found time to have fun. These rare, intimate photos are from my personal collection while at work and play. You will see some professional photos, and read about many fond memories. You will also see candid snapshots, not always the best in quality, but they show a side of Elvis never seen before.
If you'd like to purchase this book please call Elvis International Magazine at (818)991-3892. It is not available at book stores.
Thanks, Joe
Recently, while I was at Joe's house doing an interview for the magazine, Elvis International Forum, Joe brought out some boxes full of candid snapshots from his personal collection. I started to look through the first box and was amazed at all of the personal photos of Elvis. I said to Joe "The fans have got to see these! It's a side of Elvis they've never seen before." Here were pictures of Elvis having fun on the movie set, at the wedding and on his last vacation. Needless to say, I was very excited and felt that Joe needed to share these with the fans. You will find this book entertaining, as well as informative, as Joe expresses his personal memories with each picture. I personally feel, this book is for the avid fans who want to see the personal side of Elvis through pictures and memories, without the exaggeration and hype. It is... a refreshing look at the side of Elvis we call "Intimate and Rare."

In "Good Rockin' Tonight", Esposito lays to rest many unanswered questions regarding Elvis' life: he details the long years in Hollywood and on the road, his dramatic comeback, and his troubled marriage to Priscilla; he recounts Elvis' tragic descent into drugs, and his relationships to Colonel Parker, his friends, and the women who loved and cared for his. Lastly, he tells the bitter story of how it all ended on August 16, 1977.
