When I was a kid, there were 2 types of people. There were those who watched "Swap Shop" and "Blue Peter" and there were those who watched "Tiswas" and "Magpie." I was one of the latter kind, whose Saturday mornings were filled with singing along to "The Bucket of Water Song" and yelling the response "COMPOST CORNER!!!!!!!" to the phrase "Compost Corner." Hmm. Yes Well.
Anyway, what did TISWAS stand for.....was it "today is Saturday, wear a smile"?
David Rappaport made several appearances on the show, the one I remember mainly being as the "fairy of the desk." Bizarre.
