2002 Diary Archive 09.12.2002 - ZZZzzz
I have to admit that there's not a lot happening in Swazi at the moment so I don't actually have any news. (I've spent a fair amount of time sleeping which I'm sure you won't find all that exciting.) I have however spent a bit of time updating the site! (It's still far from finished but it's a little further along than it was before!)
I've added some bits & pieces to the Cool Stuff page - although I don't know how 'cool' any of it is.
I also spiced up my site with a bit of Angel (access this from the Cool Stuff page - I couldn't resist). Please note the cool Angel background - created by yours truly!
And I wanted to say Merry Christmas to you all! I hope you've got something great planned for the Xmas and New Year's!
Oh, and please email me!! I'm feeling neglected! (Thanx to Sandra, Poo, Shaz though for writing!) Also don't 4get to sign my guestbook! And you guyz have gotta check out the Christmas card Vaz sent me!!
26.11.2002 - Home Sweet Home
Today I've got some good news, some bad news and some great news.
The Bad News - this site may not be updated too often now that I'm home. I have just found out that it takes very nearly F O R E V E R for Pagebuilder to load and I don't know how much patience I'll have in future (Now I know how lucky we are to have almost instant access at the Rhodes computer labs!). However I will persevere for now and see how it goes.
The Good News - Well, as you can see, I'm home in one piece and had no hassles on the way! (A major achievement for me!) And I've got my computer!!!!! Things just get better and better!!
And The Great News? - My brother just managed to get his new Zim passport in only a couple of days!! So, guess who's going up to Zim in a couple of weeks????? C'est moi!! I don't know when or how exactly but I'll be in Harare sometime around the 15th December to sort out a passport once and for all! Can't wait! - I've been having sleepless nights worrying about being stateless and not being able to finish my degree!
So excited 'cos I'll also get to see all the Chisi peops!! AND I got an email from Shaz saying that she's flying back to Zim from the UK so she should be there when I am!! All is working out beautifully!
Anyway, on that positive note it is time for me to retire to my bedroom! (It's such a mess at the moment - clothes everywhere - my dad keeps asking me if we've been broken into and ransacked!!) However, as long as there is room in the bed, I'm happy!

20.11.2002 - C'est Fini!
I feel like screaming and pulling my hair out!! I just updated this whole page only to have the Internet pull some ridiculous stunt while I was saving and I lost the whole thing. So, this is a rewrite!!
Well! Exams are finally O V E R!! And it's about time too! I know I've done a fat load of nothing for the past 10 days before Psych but it's still nice to know that I'm now absolutely and completely finished!! The paper itself was a bit of a joke and not exactly of the mentally challenging variety. But I'm not complaining - I was only too glad to be out of there as quickly as possible. (I think yesterday was the start of a heat wave and the hall was getting rather hot, sticky and smelly!!)
We had to say goodbye to Poo yesterday (sniff sniff). She's at home now and then off to the States on Saturday - lucky bum!! But I can't complain - I'm off home to Swazi tomorrow! Can't wait - unfortunately this means that I'm going to have to pack today. Yes, it's that dreaded word - pack - my least favourite pasttime. I think I have a mini anxiety attack every end of term when the time comes to get out those boxes!! Oh well, no pain no gain I suppose!
I went to movies again last night and watched Blue Crush. Definitely worth every cent of the R11.00 I spent! Sweet story and amazing waves! The soundtrack was really cool as well. It's really got me in the mood for my Christmas and New Year in Mozambique! (Although I don't think you're going to catch me surfing any pipelines!)
If all goes well tomorrow and Friday then the next time I update this page it'll be from home sweet home. Cross fingers for me and pray there are no breakdowns on the way!
12.11.2002 - The Launch
It's official! This site is now declared open!! OK, I do realise that it is still under construction but it probably won't be properly finished for a long time -> if ever. (I tend to get bored and lose interest.) However that will hopefully not be the case.
I do solemnly swear that I will try to keep this site as up-to-date as possible....BUT I cannot guarantee that I will ever have anything interesting to say. You visit here at your own risk! Take today for example --> I woke up at 11:30am, showered, went to lunch and then watched Movie Magic all afternoon - doesn't exactly make for exciting reading does it! (Although I did watch 'Much Ado About Nothing' this evening - slightly more cultured - hey nonny nonny!!)
The reason that nothing is going on around here at the moment is that I've finished all my big bad exams and I'm just hanging around to write the Psych I multiple choice paper. (Let me just point out that Forrest Gump could probably pass Psych I, hence the fact that I haven't been spending much time in front of the books!)
So I've been having a great time doing nada! However, big plans for tomorrow! I'm going to venture into town to do some shopping!!
Anyway, that's pretty much all I have to say for myself at this point in time.
