CIVILIAN CLOTHING AND EQUIPMENT

Everything you need to become a Civil War re-enactor can be purchased from outlets which we call “sutlers”. Our sutlers sell authentic reproductions of clothing and various other period items used to round out your historical impression.
The civilians of the 19th Indiana Volunteer Infantry, Co. A are men, women, and children who portray the lives and times of non-military people of the era of the American Civil War.
The Civilians have devised a set of Authenticity Guidelines to assist in defining the general impression that the Civilians of the unit wish to create. This impression is defined as that of the general public during the period of 1861-1865.
