*Ash to star in India's first IMAX film Tajmahal
US-based Indian technology tycoons have come together to fund an Imax movie on the Taj Mahal, in which former Miss World Aishwarya Rai will play the queen who inspired the marble monument. The large-screen movie to be shown in special theaters will involve a budget of up to $10 million and a host of big Bollywood names.
Taj Mahal will be the most expensive Bollywood production, surpassing last year's $9 million for Raju Chacha. With this project, the producers of Tajmahal are hoping to create an A-class image for India and they are expecting it to be an international phenomenon with its lavish production and Imax appeal.
The film is scheduled to be released July 2002. Tajmahal music is going to be composed by none other than A.R. Rahman. We think this one is gonna be one helluva project guys!
