Aishwarya Rai was born November 1, 1973 in Mangalore, Karnataka India. She speaks, Hindi, english, tamil, and kannada. She wanted to pursue a field in medicine at an early age, and although she scored extraordinarily well on her exams, circumstances did not allow it. She started getting interested in modeling, and did ads for Lakme, and many other household names, earning her fame and fortune. She became runner-up in the Miss India pageant in 1994, and was subsequently sent to Sun City, where she won the Miss World 1994 title.
Her beauty and brains were unmatched by any other contestant. Her Green-Blue eyes made her famous, and to prove her generosity and good thoughts, she has donated her eyes. Aishu, as I and her family love to call her, began to get into the film industry .
With the first film released being Iruvar (tamil). She then did other films such as Aur Pyaar Hogaya, jeans,taal,hum dilde chukesanam,kandukondain and recently did josh. Her superb dancing ability, as exhibited in Taal n Jeans movie, will definitely be a plus in her acting career.

"Aiswarya rai met accident during shooting for "KHAKI".
Doctors attending on Aishwarya Rai have said the actress would require nearly a month's rest to recover fully.
Rai met with an accident while shooting for Raj Kumar Santoshi's film 'Khaki' near Nashik. The mishap occured when Aishwarya was sitting on a chair after finishing rehearsing for a shot. Suddenly a jeep skidded and hurtled towards her, injuring the actress.
She was flown into Mumbai by a private helicopter on Wednesday, around midnight and admitted to the Hinduja hospital. Rai was accompanied by her mother Vrinda.
Rai who had been admitted to a hospital in Nashik was operated upon there and had to receive 11 stiches on her right leg. She also received injuries to her back and hand.

Story - 
Tony (Govinda) is a happy-go-lucky tourist guide who enjoys his job in the picturesque town of Malaga in Goa. He talks his way through life, taking each day as it comes and making the most of it. One day a soothsayer tells him that a light-eyed princess from across the sea, will soon enter his life and change it forever.
And sure enough, while waiting at the airport for prospective customers, he bumps into Sonia (Aishwarya Rai). She is gorgeous, she is just arrived from abroad and she has light eyes! Tony decides that she is his princess and appoints himself as her tourist guide. But Sonia has not come to Malaga for a vacation, she is come to search for her mothers grave.
The ever-obliging Tony is only too happy to take his beautiful Madam Memsaab around town, helping her in her quest. By now he is totally smitten by her, much to the dismay of his childhood friend Nina (Namrata Shirodker), who has always loved him.
Sonia who enjoys Tony's amusing and charming company is blissfully unaware of Tony's true feelings for her.

Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke: While Karan (Abhishek) is trying to convince Sahiba (Aishwarya) not to commit suicide, a good Samaritan from the bus throws his backpack on the road side and leaves. After they both fall off the cliff and swim down the river track, they make their way back to dry land, and Karan's backpack is nicely placed on a white park bench under a tree, which is nowhere near the original place. Obviously they didn't want to waste time going back for his bag!!!
Dhaai Akshar Prem Ke: When Aishwarya is about to commit suicide Abhishek tells the bus conductor to throw the bag. Later Abhishek without his bag rescues Ash...advices Ash and then changes his shirt. And where does the shirt come from? From the bag along with his guitar which is suppossed to be on top of the cliff. uhhh...whatdyu call this.. "punarjanm"?
Josh When Aishwarya comes to chadrachur's shop to order a cake she says it should have 7 colours. After pointing out the colours not needed she only names six colours to be put in.
Hamara Dil Aapke Pas Hai: In the end, when Aishwarya is about to board the flight - there is queue of persons behind her but when she is standing on top of the ladder & thinking about Anil Kapoor nobody passes by and when she she makes up her mind and is climbing down the ladder there is not a soul behind her.
