It's All About Me, Me, Me...

If you followed this link, then you must be somewhat interested in finding out more about the brains behind this outfit. So where do I start? Well, I guess the beginning is as good a place as any...

For those of you who haven't already figured it out: my name is Kemi Ogunleye. I am a black woman, or so my mirror tells me every morning. I was born roughly 26 years ago at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in Lagos, Nigeria. My mother told me that I weighed about 7 lbs at birth. But I guess you all don't really need to know such mundane details.

So, on to the good stuff. I attended the best primary school in the world -- Corona School Victoria Island -- from 1981 to 1987. I then went on to the absolute best secondary school in the universe -- Queen's College, Lagos. I can already hear the haters screaming, "Whatever!" Accept it ladies -- if you didn't go to QC, you missed out. And guys, we all know that you had nightly fantasies about QC girls. I beg, I'm just kidding, o -- please don't crucify me!

Moving on... I left Nigeria in 1995, after waiting almost 2 years for the University of Lagos to open its gates so knowledge-hungry students like myself could be fed. I ended up at the University of Houston where I majored in Communications & Marketing. I am very proud to say (and my father's pocket book is very glad to report) that I graduated in May 1999. After my graduation, I got a job with an advertising agency in Boston, Mass and worked there for 3 years. I am now pursuing a Masters in International Relations at the University of Warwick in the UK.

Well, I guess you could call that a brief synopsis of my life. But it doesn't tell you much about who I really am, does it? Well, if you really want to know more, simply click here, or just follow the Q&A link from the main page. Peace. 1
