REVISING WITH MELODY:
UNDER CONSTRUCTION

 This tune, from The Lp ~INNER MOUNTING FLAME~, by John McLaughlin and 
the Mahavishnu Orchestra has some tough chords, in the {6/4 meter} "Overture" 
which may be placed in 2 different string sets.
 Their largely dissonant nature may stem from some atonal logic McLaughlin
explored in his ~Extrapolation~ and ~Devotion~ Lps, and I suspect some Joseph
Zawinul ~Bitches Brew~ comps rubbed off on McLaughlin as well. Two voicings 
[XY] (F/E to G/F] come from a stock 4-voice harmonization (of C Major scale 
from C/B ) but that's a fav' type J.M. snuck in other compositions (Hope and 
Awakening, for two examples) and the final follOWing two (Bar 7 Bar 8) are 
odd nods to Miles Davis' ~So What~ chords, in a convolution (if you ask me).
 Either way,  they're all quite unique stretches!
