Rosters/TransactionsUpon completion of the draft, you may expand your roster to 25 players. You can do this by picking up undrafted players or through trades. At no time can your roster exceed 25 players. There is a 5 dollar fee for each transaction you conduct, which goes into the pot for distribution at the end of the season. What this means is that with each player you pick up, you are charged $5; this also applies to trades, though any number of players can be involved, and the transaction fee remains $5, to be split by the two teams involved. For the sake of simplicity, no more than two teams can be involved in each trade. This isn’t the NBA… Releasing players costs nothing. So if you decide to release JR Redmond, Erricht Rhett, and Derrick Mayes, your grand total is zero. Procedure for picking up players: As mentioned, there is a $5 fee for each player you pick up. Pickups CANNOT be made during play of that week’s games. So from kickoff of the week’s first game, to the end of the week’s last game, no pickups are allowed. After the end of the last game, you may submit a pickup to either Bernie Bae or Brett Steger, until the deadline for that week, which is noon of the day before that week’s first game. At that time, if only one owner attempted to pick up a player, the player is theirs. If more than one owner submitted a pick up for that player, we go to a closed bid system, with of course, a minimum of $5. If the commissioner is involved, he will give his bid to a non-participant. The team with the highest bid wins. After the pick up deadline of each week, if you decide to pick up a player who is still available, he is instantly yours as soon as you notify the commissioner. This gives you a window of at least 24 hours between the end of the deadline to the beginning of the week’s first game, and incidentally, encourages owners to pay attention to the schedule. Lineups Starting lineups will consist of: Your lineup must be turned in to the commissioner prior to kickoff of the week’s first game. And yes, this includes the weeks that have games played on Thursday as well. NO EXCEPTIONS. Again, NO EXCEPTIONS Kurt! You can submit your lineup to me via phone, in person, or the preferred method, email. The latter keeps a record of your lineup with a timestamp, plus no phone calls are required. If you can’t get a hold of me, you can also try Brett. Official players positions are dictated by www.nfl.com. If you don’t submit your lineup in time, you will automatically be given the same lineup you had the previous week, including bye players. Also, if you no longer have one of those players, you will receive a ZERO at that slot. ScoringAny Touchdown (passing, rushing, receiving, defense/special teams) The official source for scoring will be www.sportsline.com. Any errors in scoring must be reported BEFORE the start of the following week’s games – if for example, you choose to go on some dumb trip, it’s your responsibility to report any inaccuracies. Schedules/PlayoffsThis league is played in a head-to-head manner; each week you will face off against one owner, highest score wins. In the event of a tie, whomever has the individual player who scores the most points wins. If THAT’S tied (it’ll never happen), you compare the player in each lineup with the second highest score – and so on, and so on. The regular season lasts 14 weeks, that allows you to play each owner exactly twice. At the end of the regular season, the 4 teams with the best records advance to the playoffs, while the other 4 teams shoot it out for the title of winner of the Illustrious Toilet Bowl. The first tiebreaker for equal records when determining playoff teams is head-to-head record. The second tiebreaker is total points accumulated throughout the season. Of course, the playoffs last 2 weeks, thus avoiding the NFL’s Week 17, where coaches may elect to bench key players – that would suck… Team 1 – Gary Nelson Team 5 – Adam Bailey Week 1 - 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6, 7 vs 8 Week 8 - 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6, 7 vs 8 Week 2 - 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3, 5 vs 8, 6 vs 7 Week 9 - 1 vs 4, 2 vs 3, 5 vs 8, 6 vs 7 Week 3 - 1 vs 3, 2 vs 4, 5 vs 7, 6 vs 8 Week 10 - 1 vs 3, 2 vs 4, 5 vs 7, 6 vs 8 Week 4 - 1 vs 5, 2 vs 6, 3 vs 7, 4 vs 8 Week 11 - 1 vs 5, 2 vs 6, 3 vs 7, 4 vs 8 Week 5 - 1 vs 6, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 8, 4 vs 5 Week 12 - 1 vs 6, 2 vs 7, 3 vs 8, 4 vs 5 Week 6 - 1 vs 7, 2 vs 8, 3 vs 5, 4 vs 6 Week 13 - 1 vs 7, 2 vs 8, 3 vs 5, 4 vs 6 Week 7 - 1 vs 8, 2 vs 5, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 7 Week 14 - 1 vs 8, 2 vs 5, 3 vs 6, 4 vs 7 Money Distribution Super Bowl Winner 40% of pot Weekly Payouts Note: No weekly
