Curses! The worst thing about elementary school is writing in cursive. I guess it must have been the 1880s, since that was the last time that cursive was useful. It was probably because the old coot who runs the telegraph doesn't like to see printing. How the fuck are you going to get anywhere in life without sending telegraphs? I still let out a big sigh when I find out that a professor writes notes on the board using cursive. It's damn near illegible. 

Here's where the big problems with the D.A.R.E. program start. Children are not capable of thinking on enough of a complex level to make detailed arguments against things. Indeed, consequences are bad. Also, here it is evident that my spelling wasn't exactly that of a "smart" student.
