(Her height of 170 cm is from the Newtype Magazine's interview with Kosuke-sama, 165 cm is the Manga's.)

"Hello there, and who're you?"
"I'm the owner of this page, and I asked you here for an interview today."
"Oh? What for?"
"Well... for all your adoring fans out there, I guess."
"Hm, I already have a shrine around here somewhere, for your information."
"Oh, I also went to get this bottle of fine 1898 Vintage Port...."
"Whaddaya waiting for then!? Get on with the questions!" *woo ho ho ho ho ho*

A self professed Cupid of Love and Alcoholic who is overflowing with sexuality and blessed with a fiery but good heart, Urd loves nothing more than to cause a little mischief now and then to liven up the otherwise dull life of Morisato Keiichi (although with a Goddess around, I thought life would be anything but dull.) and to help his relation with Belldandy along. A main character of the series, Urd came to "offer" her assistance to Keiichi to really get going with Belldandy although her methods are far from what people expect from a Goddess.

Urd's intentions are, however, pure. Her temper is very much different from Belldandy, her younger half-sister. Having a fiery and strong-willed heart, Urd is more willing to do the daring to accomplish her goals than Belldandy is... although Urd tends to forget her original goal when she gets enthusiastic over it. Her greatest weaknesses are her penchant for lying to get what she wants, and her inability to focus properly.

And though she wields incredible amounts of power, Urd isn't refined with it at all, preferring the arts of brute force and mass destruction rather than controlled and/or precision usage. As a result, when Urd tries to do something that requires some finery, she often does quite the opposite of her intended result. Instead, she is more suited towards spells that require great power, such as the Ultimate Magic Circle of Warding. (Found in the OVA.)

She is also a master druggist who uses anything and everything (almost literally) in her medicines and potions. Of course, her domain being the past, means that love potions are still in, as are potions that don't work the way they're supposed to work. More than once has Urd tried to use her potions for some goal, and more than once has she failed. Being a Second Class Goddess, Urd is definitely more prone to failure. But like all things in life, I'm sure she'll get even better (which is already impressive to begin with) with a little more control if she just learns to focus herself more.
(STOP emphasizing my rank already! - Urd)
I think her preference for potions comes from the outdated human belief that potions could do anything its brewer wanted if brewed properly, and Urd, being the Goddess of the Past, does just that. (Brewing potions with any effect she wants.)

Her relation with Skuld is a little problematic. Her temper more often than not takes precedence over her good judgement and common sense and as a result she gets into a lot of squabbles with her baby sister. (I am NOT a baby! - Skuld) However, the two love each other dearly and care for each other even though they don't look like it. Given the chance, one of them would try to make up to the other, although this doesn't stop the usual sibling squabbles from occuring.

Some people might consider Urd as nothing more than a sex bomb Goddess with nothing between her ears, but if she didn't have much between them, why make her system maintainer of Yggdrasil? And every system will have its own Bugs, so don't start with Kami-sama made the wrong choice selecting Urd. As seen, she shows even more brains than Skuld does when it comes to system maintainence in Yggdrasil, because she knows the system inside out while Skuld's a little clueless. That takes skill and brains. In fact, her job as the maintainer of the Universe's greatest computer must mean that Urd knows her stuff when it comes to computers! Skuld's just a little behind Urd here.

Urd occasionally shows us moments of wisdom too, when she gives Belldandy, Keiichi or someone else a piece of advice which makes perfect sense, however nonsensical it appears to be on the surface. (The most simple case being her telling Yoshida Shohei : "Since you say that if you fall, you'll die; As long as you don't fall down, you won't die, right?") Certainly a lot more to her brains than just what you see on the surface.

Being part demoness, Urd is prone to the sorrow and fear that follows her around wherever she goes. Although she chose to be a Goddess over being a Demoness, Urd is likely to choose the easy paths out of any trouble if she ever encounters anything she can't handle. This scares her as she knows it's her demoness blood that's "talking" to her and she always fears a day when being a demoness is the only recourse for her. This made itself very obvious once and although she survived through it, Urd always fear that her "dark side" will catch up with her. This fear started when she was young and had just gotten her own Angel. Eventually though, she learns to conquer this fear and accept what she is, with the help of Belldandy.

But knowing this for herself and being afraid that she might start doing evil, Urd proves that she is truly kind at heart and although a little wild sometimes, she is more than worthy of her title of Megami-sama.

Observational Notes on Urd's Goddess Designation in relation to the Real World : Goddess of the Past.
Note : Reading of manga up to book 14 is required to understand some of the terms used here.

The "Past" is what we define as mostly the History lessons we learn in class, or as the events the previous day, or events a few hours ago. The "Past" is also now, and looking back to the word 'now' would already be considered looking back at the "Past", as well as being the "Present" (as you look at the word). Everyone exists in the "Present" and possible "Future", and everyone definitely existed in the "Past". Even now, you are "existing" in the "Past", because simply by being in the "Present", you are becoming the "Past", are still in the "Present", and are already in the "Future". The "Past" is the most irrevocable of all the three time zones, although one's actions will dictate what it is, so the "Past" is only what one makes of it. "Using" it however, will mean a "Past" which may continue well into, or return to, the "Future", as the "Future" only exists with a "Past" and the "Past" can be viewed from another angle if the "Future" is changed, and once the "Past" has been changed, the "Future" can be too.

"Ladder Tunnel Theory" :
Imagine the "Past" as part of a ladder shaped tunnel, in which you float in the space inside it, motionless as the tunnel itself moves around you. Imagine two other versions of you further up the tunnel, the "Present" and the "Future" you. Imagine they have a can of paint in which they can paint a limitless number of "Pasts", and you, watching the "painted" tunnel pass by you, are only an observer to their actions and the resulting "design", the irrevocable "Past". Imagine that same "painted" tunnel might sometimes take a loop in the "ladder" and that the "Past" in which originally passed you the first time might "come" back again, possibly "repainted" by one of the other versions of you, to which you see from a different point of view, a new pattern on the tunnel wall, if you will. (See Belldandy's Profile and Skuld's Profile.)

Urd is, of course, fixed in her ways. Being the Past, Urd is unable to embrace further change in herself and can only make the best of what she already is (such as being a Goddess despite being half-demoness). Her preference for using potions and attempting things not suited to her style is rooted in ancient belief for such things, which clashes with modern (Present and Future) human beliefs, and consequentially Belldandy and Skuld's preferences. However, not always are her actions and beliefs wrong or inaccurate, to the contrary, sometimes they are invaluable in teaching lessons to the Present and the Future. For example, Urd knows Belldandy well enough to coax the others into doing certain things she believes are good for Belldandy all of which, they are. After all, the Past was shaped directly from the Present and should hold the most accurate information about it. (Remember the one where Urd was telling Peorth about the Photograph? Or in OVA 4-5 where Urd was talking to Belldandy and the rest about the reason for Belldandy's return?)
But like any good Pasts, sometimes records get messed up and warped over time, and an inaccurate image is formed as a result. Urd is a caring sister, but sometimes her beliefs are inaccurate, which is disadvantageous to the Present and Future.. Relate these to the different views given in candid interviews about any important historical, current or recent event and you'll understand.
Also, Urd's friendship with Mara when young can be considered symbolic. When the Past was young, Man understood not what was truly wrong and right, rather, everything was grey. Urd is the embodiment of such beliefs. Back when Evil (Mara) was still an undecided contrast with Good (Urd), everything was the same. However, as time went on and Man evolved, Evil slowly seperated itself from Good. However, Man is contradictory. While Evil has a definite face, we aren't so sure just what constitutes Good, to which Urd is a mixture of both Good and Evil. Remember, she is half-demoness, but also half-Goddess, and she embraced her Goddess half. In relation to our World, Good has A definite face, but it only wins over the unsure definition of "Good" by several notches. Sometimes the concept of "Good" is more harm than help, which fits Urd perfectly even though her intentions are good.
The Past is always the oldest event to happen, defined by the most immeasurable sliver of time before the Present, and Future, ever occurs. It shouldn't be hard to see why Skuld is the youngest and Urd the oldest. Urd has already learned everything she needs to learn as a Goddess, however Skuld still has many lessons to learn, while Belldandy is still learning. The Past isn't so clear or definite in good and evil, but it can be made so with the efforts of those in the Present and Future, which is why even generations after an event has happened, Man still looks into it to confirm everything before making a decision. (Refer back to the Ladder theory stated above to make the comparison again.) Even Urd's skin colouring can be considered meaningful. Dark (evil/bad) on the outside, but white (good/pure) on the inside.
Her penchant for being rash can be described as "confidence from Past experience". Perhaps because people always say "Learn from your Past experiences", Urd might believe she has already learned everything, being the master of the Past as she is. But as more things are learned and put into the Past, well..... who knows? Urd might learn something too! Remember, Skuld is the Future, and the Past cannot exist without a Future. Whatever Skuld learns will carry on into the Present, and finally into the Past. Urd might eventually create the definition of Goodness when Man has done so through social evolution. What, done reading about me already!? *sigh*. Well, hope on for a free ride back then.
