Saltwater is based on Conor McPherson's play, "This Lime Tree Bower". It first showcased at the Berlin festival in February and more recently at the Film Fleadh in July 2000, in Galway, Ireland. Click here for the Film Fleadh brochure blurb and picture.

Saltwater features Wilco's "Pieholden Suite" twice. Once in the film and once over the end credits.
