DOWNHILL JAM This, in my mind, is the worst stage. It is so straightforward, just go off a few ramps and launch off a big rock structure with a Mountain Dew sign on it. The Hidden Tape is annoying to get, the letters are annoying to get, and it is just a bad stage overall. Downhill Jam: Phoenix - Speed. Air. Speed. Air. Speed. Air. Get the picture? This crazy downhill run, set in a river gorge, is the place to be if you're looking for over-the-top speed and air. Grab the high rails and paths overhead for the scores that'll have even the big boys scratchin' their heads. Did we mention speed and air? TAPES Hi Score - 20,000 points Hi Score (20000 points) - To get this, just go through the stage, grind stuff to get combos, and get a bunch of points using the huge stone ramp thing to get the "25 Feet, 50 Feet..." transfer. Open 5 Valves - This stage is downhill, so naturally, I will explain it from start to fininsh. First, ollie up onto those double rails that are to the right of when you start. Grind them, and at the end is a valve. The second is on one of the giant yellow launch ramps. The third is on the rail that is overhead when you enter the halfpipe. To get it, go up the small ramp to the left, and grind the rail. Number four is on top of that stone launch ramp thing. If you can't get it by using that little ramp in front, you can just ride up it by going up the area where you launch out. To get the final one, go to the left of the shallow pool of water that is near the end. Go down the steep ramp, and on the wall to the right about a quarter of the way down the ramp is the fifth valve. Get S-K-A-T-E - This one is straightfoward, just like all the rest. To get the "S" launch off one of the giant yellow ramps, it's floating in the air. The "K" is hovering above a set of double rails before the halfpipe. there is a small launch ramp that you can use to get up there. Next, the "A" is on the area that is above the halfpipe. Launch out of the halfpipe, or grind the rail where the third valve is. The "T" is at the end of the huge stone launch ramp. To get it, fly out of it and snag it, or get some speed on the concrete, and ollie up to get it. Finally, the "E" is near the end of the stage, its a little bit tough to explain. Use the little grey concrete ramp things near the end of the stage as a halfpipe. There is a building on the left side, and a rail on the top. Gain some speed and use the halfpipe to launch up the side of the ramp nearest to the building. Angle yourself to the left so you start on the ramp, but land on top of the building. You won't actually land, but you have to grind it. The "E" is on top. Hidden Tape - This hidden tape is annoying to get. First, go to the area where the "A" is. Grind the rail at the end of the area, that leads down to a small platform. Use the wall as a quarterpipe, and fly over the small channel. Once you get to the other side, ollie up to the rock bridge. Go to the other side of the bridge, and launch over the other channel, you can grind the top of this channnel, if you want to. Once on the other side, go straight, and launch off the end and fly to the pillar in the middle with a bunch of little rails. The hidden tape is there. If you have trouble, Fastplant up there. Pro Score (40000 points) - To get this, grind a bunch of rails and stuff. Go for the halfpipe, and do some tricks until they become worthless. Then go and use the huge stone launch thing. If you still have not gotten this, go to the upper area where the "E" is, and grind it, and the rail below for the "Neversoft Elec. Co. Gap" tansfer. That should give you plenty. |
