During the course of their musical journey, Diana Ross and The Supremes,
has achieved several impressive records and achievements. Collectively,
they have amassed 18 #1 Pop singles. Twelve in the 60's, Four in the
70's, Two in the 80's. And that's only in the United States.
The Supremes, post-Diana Ross, continued their amazing string
of hit records. They performed in the best nightclubs and
television variety shows. And one of their hits, "I'm Gonna Let My
Heart Do The Walking," was adopted by the American Lung Association as
their theme.
Diana Ross' achievements and importance in American music has
been both honored and under appreciated. Although she is among the world's best known artist, few are aware of her accomplishments,
influence and historic firsts in entertainment. Among them are:

According to NBC, Super Bowl XXX halftime show was watched by more people than any Superbowl show in
television history. The network said it estimated total halftime show viewership at 138,488,000.

Diana Ross made Academy Awards television history by televising
her appearance on the show "live" via satellite from Holland. She sang 'Do You Know Where You're Going To.'

'An Evening With Diana Ross' a one-woman show that featured Diana's greatest hits and inspirations, ran on Broadway at the Palace
Theatre where it broke long standing
box-office records (63 years). Broadway awards her a special "Tony Award"

She becomes the first female singer ever to claim four #1 singles when "Love Hangover" goe to
#1 on pop, R&B and disco charts.

NBC takes a chance to broadcast, for the first time,
a 90-minute television special based on her Broadway show, 'Diana Ross: Here I Am" It is a feat unheard of for a woman entertainer to
host her own special. She is rewarded with numerous nominations for an Emmy.

In 1986, Diana Ross was the first female artist to perform live in Central Park. The show was broadcast
worldwide on two separate nights.

After hosting two previous 'Divas Live' shows featuring various divas and divas in training, VH1 honored Diana Ross with their first ever
TRIBUTE to a diva.

1995 - Ms. Ross traveled to Russia where she made
her historic first performances live, to two sold-out audiences at the
Kremlin Palace in Moscow.

Participated in the historical recording of 'We Are the World' which provided
hunger relief to the citizens of the third world.
Ms. Ross joined the board of directors of "A Better
Chance," the oldest and only national program that provides a variety of
educational opportunities to academically talented children. The organization,
based in Boston, is best known for assisting inner city children in gaining
access to the nation's top college prepatory schools.
Ms. Ross is spokesperson for National Children's Day, a
day in which children have the opportunity to share their hopes and concerns
with America's leaders.
She led the all-star musical cast of Nile Rodgers' remake
of 'We Are Family' that was recorded in response to the tragedy of September
11th, 2001. Included in the recording were several members of the New York
Police and Fire Departments who served gallantly during this national crisis.
