Disclaimer: These people who think they're Rangers? They belong to Saban. The rest of us are pirates and some great friends we hang out with. But we belong to ourselves. "Listen Up" is by the Misfits.

Author's Note: I'm mad, I'm bitter, and I'm a pirate. Add to that that I am the Queen of Evil and that I love to write snarky spoofs, and it doesn't make for a good combination. *grin* I always said that I feel the PRLG Rangers neither deserve nor respect the MegaShip. And now they've proven it! Ya know, Leo made a big mistake when he did what he did. And we, the Oliverettes, had to let him know it. *grin* I should say here that not all Oliverettes were involved in this. We are but a small and irate splinter group. *grin* What follows is the tale of TargetBoy, his hapless crew, and their encounter with us. *grin* For those who don't know us, here is a list of the conspirators: two Oliverettes, WhiteZeo and myself; two Oliverettos, BlueSpaceRanger (Blue) and TJ335 (Teej); and four of our noble allies, Starhawk, Travler, Lenni345 (Lenni), and Cat (Pantherapardus). Also of note is that Autolycus is Andros and Ashley's son, and Zeri is Zhane and Astronema's daughter. But that's a *really* long story! *snicker* Thanks to Starhawk from the proof, and to my co-conspirators for participating! Long live the MegaShip! Long may she fly! :)

"Save Our Ship"
by Adrienne Sekitou

The MegaShip struggled within the strong grip of the Scorpion Stinger's pinchers. Escape seemed impossible. On the Bridge, Leo and Damon struggled to no avail with the controls, trying desperately to free the MegaShip from Trakeena's ship's clutches.

"Guys! There's only one way to stop Trakeena!" Leo started. "We've gotta put the Megaship on self destruct!" he said looking up at the others.

"No way!" Damon shouted, still fighting the controls. He wasn't giving up the MegaShip that easily. He had taken care of it for too long to just destroy it and DECA so easily.

"No, Leo is right. It's our only hope," Kai agreed. Damon grunted. He didn't like it, but they weren't giving him much of a choice. He couldn't save the MegaShip alone. With an unsteady hand he did the unthinkable, pushed the one button he thought would never be pressed.

"Self-destruction sequence initiated. Self destruction in 90 seconds," DECA intoned in her usual way. And Damon felt the immediate guilt of knowing the sentient computer would be going down with the ship.

Leo started barking orders once again to evacuate the MegaShip. "We've gotta get outta here! Come on! Alpha! Meet us at the Jet Jammer Bay." He was about to let go of the pilot's controls when he heard a shout from behind him.

"Hold it! Cut! Stop the press!" Everyone turned to see what they had somehow missed before, a small group of individuals teleporting onto the Bridge. The teleportation beams dispersed to reveal a ragtag band of three young people, definitely not Rangers, but dressed interestingly nonetheless. The first thing Leo noticed was that one of the women was barefoot.

"Self destruction in 60 seconds," DECA interrupted, breaking the Galaxy Rangers out of their surprised stares.

The group of three looked over at one of DECA's cameras, then back at each other and nodded. Standing in front of the other two was a tall woman with very long hair, holding a rather familiar Wrath Staff. "DECA, stop that silly self-destruct please," she said.

"Gladly! I was beginning to think these bozos were serious!" the computer answered, and then added as an afterthought, "Uh, acknowledge."

Leo finally found his voice. "Who the hell are you?! And what do you think you're doing? We're trying to work here! We have to stop Trakeena!"

"You don't know us? I'm hurt!" A voice behind him said, causing Leo to jump. Neither Damon nor Leo let go of the controls, but they both turned to look at the man striking the dramatic pose behind them.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I'm Teej, pilot and navigator of the Peregrine Dragon. I'm also the cute one, but that's not really relevant right now," he said with a wave of his hand. "What is relevant is that I will be needing you two to let go of the controls."

"Why should we do that?" Leo asked with a laugh of disbelief.

"So I can take over. Duh!" Teej rolled his eyes at the Red Ranger, bringing snickers from all parts of the Bridge.

"What Teej means is that we're pirates, and you should consider yourself 'boarded'. We're taking the MegaShip and returning it to the AstroRangers," the tall girl said with a smile. She had moved to one of the side consoles and was running system checks, assessing damage.

"You have got to be kidding me!" Kai muttered.

Kai's annoyed utterance was immediately followed by Maya's confused question. "Peregrine Dragon? What is that? Another GalactaBeast?"

"Do they look like they're kidding?" the barefoot girl answered Kai. She had moved over to the weapons console and was working to bring the lasers back online. "Look," she continued, "if Teej and Adri want to believe they're pirates, I'll go along with it. Especially since it involves getting the MegaShip back." She then turned to Maya and added, "The Peregrine Dragon is their ship. They think they're pirates and call themselves Oliverettes and Oliverettos. It all has to do with the worship of an ex-Ranger, or something like that," she finished with a snicker.

"Thank you, Starhawk, for the explanation," Adrienne smirked. "We'll stop Trakeena for you," she declared. "But we're really here to rescue the MegaShip."

"But there isn't any other way out of this situation!" Kai responded with frustration. "If the MegaShip self-destructs, then we can take her out with us."

And as if to prove his point, the MegaShip rocked, throwing the Rangers (but strangely not the pirates) around as the Scorpion Stinger ground its pinchers in further. Leo and Damon still clung to the controls, and thus barely held their footing. When Leo looked at Teej who was still standing there quietly, hands folded behind his back, seemingly unaffected by the constantly moving MegaShip, Teej gave a simple, but smug, answer to his unasked question. "Guess we have our sea-legs."

"There's always another way out, and it's never hopeless. You do still have weapons!" Starhawk sighed at the Galaxy Rangers in general, and opened fire with all laser banks. The Stinger rocked, but did not lose its grip on the MegaShip.

"See?!" Leo gave a smirk of his own.

"Just watch, TargetBoy!" Adrienne grinned. "That was merely a distraction." And suddenly the main view screen lit up with a blinding flash. The Stinger was thrown violently to the side, taking the MegaShip with it. When the screen cleared, there in the middle of space was a three-masted galleon which even after that initial attack, was continuing to fire on the now rather damaged Stinger.

"What is that?" Damon asked, both perplexed and awed at the sight of a pirate ship flying in deep space.

"That is the Dragon," Teej smiled in quiet satisfaction with no small amount of pride in their ship.

"Okay, Travler, cease fire." DECA had linked up with the Dragons' computer, Inigo, and Adrienne had opened a communications channel to the Dragon to speak to someone onboard.

A screen on the side of the Bridge lit up displaying the wheelhouse of the Dragon. Travler sat there with the Oliverette, WhiteZeo, the Oliverettes' white tiger, Saba, and the Oliverettes' falcon, Phoenix. She appeared to be trying to explain to them something having to do with the small sculpey figures that she had spread out all over the floor. "Inigo, cease fire," she called. And when she noticed the screen was on, she turned with a smile and commented, "We're just working out the plan in miniatures. Yeah, that's it."

"I'm glad you're so prepared," Adrienne shook her head and continued, "Boarding Party Two, move out!" On the main screen, in the distance a Galaxy Glider could be seen leaving the Dragon and its riders entered the wounded Scorpion Stinger.

The main view screen then split into two screens, one still showing the space battle, the other with a view of the Stinger's interior with Trakeena in the forefront, threatening the Rangers, as all good and proper villains should. "I don't know who your friends are Rangers, but they can't save you!"

"Friends?!" Starhawk sneered and added, "And who said we wanted to save them?" That set both Teej and Adrienne to giggling.

Leo eyed them all suspiciously before boasting to the villain. "You're going down, Trakeena!"

"No thanks to you, TargetBoy!" Starhawk muttered.

"Will you stop that?!" Leo glared at her.

She paused a moment as if in thought then answered simply, "No, I really don't think I will."

Leo almost growled at her, which caused her only to smile all the more. He turned back to the screen only to see someone entering the Stinger's Bridge behind Trakeena. Two someones actually.

Trakeena saw Leo's shifted and surprised gaze and looked behind her to see an AstroRanger in dark blue armor and a very large cougar. She laughed and turned back to the screen. "Is this who you've sent to stop me, Rangers?! One Ranger and a kitty-cat?"

"No, that's who we sent to stop you," Teej replied mischievously. "And Trakeena, you just made the biggest mistake of your life!"

"What?" the villain turned to see the AstroRanger/pirate called Blue move a discretely safe distance away from the obviously enraged cougar.

"KITTY-CAT?!!" the cougar known as Cat roared. "NO ONE CALLS ME THAT!!" And with a blood-curdling scream, Cat pounced on Trakeena and proceeded to try to rip her throat out. She stopped that quickly though, muttering, "Ick! Bug!" Instead she opted for bashing Trakeena's head into the control console. Trakeena tried to retaliate, of course, but with little to no success.

"Are you just going to let her do that?" Maya asked, amazed at the level of violence being displayed.

"Is she stopping Trakeena?" Teej asked.

"Well… yeah," Kai admitted.

Teej shrugged with a grin, "Then let her have her fun."

The entire time the Ranger in pink had been silent, observing the pirates and their allies. When she finally spoke, she turned to Adrienne and commented, "I see you're taking good care of my staff. The job suits you."

"I can't thank you enough for recommending me for the job," Adrienne replied. "Being the Queen of Evil is more fun than I thought was possible." She cocked her head then at the former villainess and said, "I can't believe you've stayed here this long."

The girl only shrugged, "They needed help."

"Oh, they need help all right," Starhawk smirked, then looked up quickly at the girl in pink. "Wait! We had a message for you. Hey, I remembered something!" Adrienne and Teej both started clapping sarcastically, causing Starhawk to stick out her tongue in response.

"So what was the message?" the girl asked. She was very familiar with Starhawk's memory problems, namely that she didn't have one.

"You would ask, wouldn't you?" she sighed and tried to remember.

WhiteZeo chose that moment to teleport over to the MegaShip. Damon glanced at her and asked, "So you're a pirate too?"

"But of course," she replied. "I'm WhiteZeo, the Oliverettes' public relations director." She linked her arm with Damon's, pulling him away from the controls. "Let me tell you about life as a pirate," but a loud conversation drew everyone's attention back to the main view screen.

"Cat. Hey, Cat. Cat, listen to me," Blue had dispatched with all of the evil flunkies and was trying to get Cat to leave Trakeena alone long enough for him to talk to her. "I sorta need this console. If you break it, we're in trouble."

Cat immediately stopped and threw Trakeena on the floor. Trakeena made a move to strike Cat while she was seemingly ignoring her and washing her paws. But as Trakeena lashed out a kick in Cat's direction, Cat went airborne, pouncing on her again and continued bashing, this time pummeling Trakeena into the floor.

Blue then started his work on the console, linking up with Inigo so he could translate the controls. Within seconds he knew the correct buttons to press, and when he did, the Scorpion Stinger's tail pinchers opened, freeing the MegaShip.

" 'cuse me," Teej said, pushing ahead of Leo, who had let go of the pilot's controls. He took the controls in hand and moved the MegaShip a safe distance away from the Stinger. "We can't go far," he remarked. "We need to get the main engines back online."

"I'm on it. No one knows the MegaShip better than me," Damon shouted as he ran toward the engine room. WhiteZeo winked at her fellow Oliverettes and ran off to help him.

"No one except for Andros," Starhawk said, rolling her eyes.

"Gee, you're not bitter or anything, are you?" Adrienne asked sarcastically.

" 'Of course not," she replied. "Why?"

"No reason." And again, it was movement on the main view screen that distracted everyone. Blue had just destroyed the Scorpion Stinger's controls with several well-placed shots from his AstroBlaster, when the door to the Stinger's Bridge opened again.

"All the detonators are planted," Lenni called as she ran up to Blue, carrying a large, nearly empty sack. "Now all that's left are these," she said, reaching into the sack and withdrawing its remaining contents.

"Umm… what does she have?" Kai asked nervously.

Upon hearing his question, Lenni turned to the camera and held up one of the round metal canisters boldly wearing the label, "RAID Industrial Strength Bug Bomb". Grinning broadly she recited,
" "RAID, kills bugs dead"." She and Blue then proceeded to place the bug bombs around the Bridge, pulling the tabs so they would detonate on their time delay.

"Come on, Cat. Time to go," Blue called.

"But I was just starting to have fun!" she pouted as she dropped Trakeena to the floor.

"There will be other victims, er, playmates for you, Cat," Starhawk said with a mischievous smile.

"What do you mean?" Leo glared at her yet again.

Starhawk covered her ears saying, "Don't talk to me! I deny your very existence." And she started muttering something about, 'big fluffy teddy bears'.

Still pouting, Cat joined Blue and Lenni as they ran off the Stinger's Bridge. On the split screen everyone could see the three as they exited the Stinger and rode Blue's Galaxy Glider toward the MegaShip.

"Wait, wait," Kai yelled as the Galaxy Glider vanished around the side of the MegaShip. "He's a Ranger, so that I understand. But how are the other two surviving traveling unprotected through space?!"

"Can you explain how Mike has managed to do it? Twice?" Teej asked, clearly baiting Kai.

"Well, no…," he admitted, at a loss to explain the impossible.

"Exactly," Teej said smugly. "It's Saban Logic. Go with it, 'cause you'll never understand it."

"Like you and Oliverette Logic, huh Teej?" Adrienne smirked as Teej threw a nasty look at her.

Back on the main view screen, Trakeena was screaming the standard threats often used by defeated villains, as laid out in The Bad Guy's Guide to Total Universe Domination by Lord Zedd, second edition. Her ranting continued despite the rising cloud of pesticides from the bug bombs.

"Are we far enough away, Teej?" Adrienne asked, watching the warning lights going off on the Stinger's bridge as the well-placed explosive charges detonated throughout the Stinger.

"Yeah, we're fine," he assured her. Blue, Lenni, and Cat entered the MegaShip's Bridge just in time to witness the fireworks as the Scorpion Stinger exploded into billions of minute pieces. The pirates and their allies let out a cheer, while the Rangers just stared at how easily the pirates had accomplished what they had not been able to do in months.

"Okay," Adrienne started with a clap of her hands. "Phase One down, on to Phase Two."

"What's Phase Two?" Kai asked, not sure he wanted to hear the answer.

"If I could hear you, I would tell you that Phase Two involves getting you thieves off the MegaShip," Starhawk explained. "but since I don't believe you exist, your expulsion is none of my concern. Though I would enjoy it, if you existed." And she went back to transmitting data to Travler and Inigo on the Dragon as they worked on repairs.

Meanwhile, off to the side Lenni carried a book over and handed it to Adrienne. "Here. We found this floating out there in space. It's so cassette, I thought you'd like it."

"Ooo! This could be promising! Thanks!" she giggled and began flipping through pages in the large book.

"Thieves?! What are you talking about?" Maya asked. "Who stole what?"

"Kai never told you that he stole the MegaShip, huh?" Teej feigned surprise, while making 'tsking' noises and looking sadly at Kai.

"Is this true?" Maya looked accusingly at Kai.

Flustered, Kai tried to defend himself, "If the AstroRangers wanted it back, then why didn't they take it when they were here?" He smiled, proud of himself, thinking he had caught them with his logic.

"Maybe 'cause they thought you would take care of it, that they could trust fellow Rangers. Obviously they were wrong." Then Teej joked, "Look, we know the only reason you were so psyched to blow up the MegaShip when TargetBoy suggested it was because you knew it was 'hot' merchandise and you didn't want to get caught with it!" Upon hearing that, Kai exclaimed indignantly and a debate soon began over what entailed ownership.

"What are you up to, Blue?" Lenni inquired. She had left Adrienne to her excited reading and had joined the now helmetless Blue at the back of the Bridge.

"You'd think this would penetrate Ranger armor, wouldn't you?" he frowned, as he repeatedly jabbed Leo in the back with Mr. Pointy.

"Huh. I would have thought so too. Let me see," she said, and took the proffered stake and began poking Kai rather roughly with it.

Kai had just been arguing that 'possession is 9/10ths of the law', when he and Leo both whirled around to glare at them, shouting, "Cut it out!!"

Blue and Lenni looked at each other, smiled, then turned back to them and shouted in unison, "No!" Quickly Lenni pulled back her arm to stab Kai even harder with Mr. Pointy, while Blue pulled out his Astro Axe and raised it above his head, aiming at Leo.

They stopped when they heard Adrienne's happy exclamation. "Wait, this could be more fun!" And she began reciting a spell in an ancient language no one but the Ranger in pink could know, pointing at Leo all along. He yelped as he was enveloped in a bright red cloud of smoke. When it dissipated, in his place stood a small furry creature with a long tail. Its large black eyes looked nervously around the Bridge.

"Oh! How cute!" Maya cooed, and moved over to pick him up.

"Do I want to know what you just did?" Kai asked while he backed away.

Adrienne shrugged. "It said it was a spell to reveal someone's spirit animal. Guess it changes you into the animal. Huh, go figure." She appeared totally unconcerned as to the spell's effects, and shut the book.

"You turned TargetBoy into a possum!" Starhawk cheered. "Go you!"

"Where I come from, possums are the ultimate targets. Supposedly born dead on the side of the road, and all that," Adrienne offered as they all watched Leo the possum snuggle down into Maya's arms. Initially obviously agitated at being morphed into a possum, the Red Ranger now seemed quite happy as Maya held him close to her chest.

Cat who had been sitting on the Bridge growling at the Rangers, suddenly sat up. "Lunch!!" she screamed and leapt at Leo in Maya's arms. Maya screamed, dropped him, and the little possum ran for his life as the cougar chased him off the Bridge and through the MegaShip.

Not caring one bit as to Leo's doom, Adrienne grinned and offered the book to Teej. "Your turn."

Kai jumped even further back when he saw what she held. "That's the Galaxy Book! Don't you know that thing's dangerous?!"

Teej rolled his eyes, "Only if someone goes around giving it to bad guys who don't know how to use it properly." And he snickered at Kai who again had reason to look guilty. "I'll have a look later, thanks."

"Suit yourself," Adrienne said, then called out, "Hey Travler, incoming!" And teleported the book over to the Dragon.

"Hey! Magic!" On the side view screen Travler laughed as the Galaxy Book appeared in her hands. Turning to Saba she pointed to her Skidgets and proposed, "Let's see if we can make these things dance!"

"That's it!" Starhawk yelled suddenly. "I remember!" She grinned and turned to the Ranger in pink saying, "Zhane needs you to come home. He's having a little trouble with Zeri. She sorta changed Autolycus into a frog."

"Oh great!" she rolled her eyes. "He told me he could take care of the kids for a while."

"Well he could, till magic got involved. Sorcery isn't exactly his strong suit," Adrienne interjected.

"See, PHANTOM was reading the kids a bedtime story, "The Frog Prince"-," Starhawk started to explain.

"Wait, let me guess," the girl interrupted. "The other girls talked Zeri into turning Autolycus into a frog so they could see if they could change him back."

"Something like that."

The girl sighed. "Kids," she muttered, and demorphed. "Okay, I'm outta here. I'd say it's been fun, but it hasn't," she said to the Rangers.

"You're leaving?" Kai asked, dumbfounded.

"You really didn't expect me to stay, did you? C'mon, please," she sighed again, handing her Quasar Sabre to Maya. "The season's about to end anyway. You will go to the planet below and discover where you really are, as if we don't already know. You'll make some grand gesture that will heal the planet (which strangely appears to be somehow healing itself just fine) and Kendrix will be back, totally negating her sacrifice. And all because Saban can't deal with certain issues." She finished her explanation, leaving Kai and Maya speechless. "Me? I have a life to get back to." She turned to the pirates and said, "I'll tell Andros you're on your way back," as she disappeared in a burst of purple sparkles.

"Purple?" Kai finally said. "What was that?"

"She's a sorceress, duh," Lenni offered as reasoning.

"Why didn't she ever tell us?"

"You didn't ask. And you never paid attention to last season."

"Okay, time for you two to go," Blue interrupted, shoving Kai toward the Bridge door.

"If they had existed, I might have helped you, Blue," Starhawk said, grinning. "But most likely I would have just waved good-bye to them, like this," and she raised her hand in a mocking salute.

"Hold on!" Kai shouted as he and Maya where herded into the hallway by Blue, Lenni, and Adrienne. Teej stayed at the controls, but waved to them as they left. Starhawk was still grinning but continued with her repair work. "Where do you expect us to go?"

"Weren't you listening earlier?" Lenni asked. "Talk about being a spruff to the power of ten because you're running totally a-track on me! You're going down to the planet so the season finale will end!"

"So you're just going to leave us on that planet without a ship?" Kai continued to argue.

The group came to an abrupt halt as Adrienne who was in the front, stopped and turned on Kai. With a dark glare befitting her title, she growled at him, "If we hadn't stopped you from destroying the MegaShip, you would have been shipless anyway, wouldn't you? Then your situation hasn't changed." She picked up her Wrath Staff and stalked off, leaving Blue and Lenni trying very hard not to laugh.

They continued on to the engine room where they found Damon and WhiteZeo putting away the tools. "Hey," Damon smiled. "Engines are online and ready to go."

"You hear that Teej?" Blue called over his communicator.

"That's what I was waiting to hear. I'll have us outta here as soon the thieves are gone," came back Teej's answer.

"Thieves?" Damon laughed. "I guess they know what you did, huh Kai?"

"Total misunderstanding!" Kai shouted.

"We're going to the planet, Damon, you coming?" Maya asked. The normally cheerful girl appeared to be getting quite irritated with her teammates.

"No," he said simply, wiping off his hands.

"What?" Kai exclaimed.

"I still have a lot of work to do to repair the damage here. And beside, I've been talking to her," he gestured toward WhiteZeo who smiled quietly and continued to put the tools back in the toolbox, "and I realized that I like this ship, better than I like you."

Anything Kai had to say in response was lost as a thunderous noise filled the corridor. Everyone stepped aside as Leo the possum ran past followed closely by Cat. They watched them run by, then went on as if nothing was out of the ordinary.

In response to Kai's glare WhiteZeo shrugged as Damon handed Maya his Quasar Sabre as well, "I'm just doing my job. Public relations can be a tricky business." WhiteZeo added with a grin, "Things happen."

"Hey! You're due on the planet, people! Let's move this party along!" Lenni instructed as she ushered Kai and Maya past the engine room and into the hangar bay, toward their Jet Jammers. At that moment Cat happened to chase Leo into the hangar bay. Blue reached out and snagged Leo, throwing him into Kai's lap as he settled in the Jet Jammer. The pirates stood, unprotected but safe (Saban Logic, gotta love it!) at the open hangar bay door as the Jet Jammers left the MegaShip.

"You haven't seen the last of us!" Kai yelled as his and Maya's Jet Jammers took off toward the planet.

"Gee, I hope we have!" Blue yelled after them. He turned to his companions then, "But with our luck they'll be back for a crossover with the next season's team."

" 'Bye-bye!" Cat called, waving her paw, upset at losing dinner, but glad they were gone.

Lenni turned to Adrienne and asked, "Hey, did Zeri really turn Autolycus into a frog?"

"Sure. Where do you think I learned that 'morph to animal' spell from? I wasn't really reading from the Galaxy Book. I learned it from the same place Zeri did, her mom."

"So Karone knew what you were doing all along and didn't stop you?"

Adrienne grinned and aimed the Wrath Staff at the retreating Jet Jammers. A bolt from the staff hit the Blue Jet Jammer and it faltered, spinning out of control under the extra weight as Leo was returned to human form. "She knew."

"Hey guys, we ready to go?" Teej called over the communicator. Starhawk and he had watched the departure from the Bridge, as had Travler from the Dragon.

"We're ready," Blue answered. "Let's take her back where she belongs." And both the Peregrine Dragon and the MegaShip turned and started the long journey back to Earth.

"Hey," someone said, "do you think Andros would mind if we gave the MegaShip a paint job while we're repairing? It just might look so cool black and gold."
