_____Dark Bird forces Ace to dogfight her and five other pilots -- at ONCE -- on PPV. While Gina goes to Atlantis to await the outcome, Ace and Penny fly against the incredible odds and win. When Dark Bird threatens to keep them captive anyway, Gina and Princess Tyr arrive with a city-sized kraken... "but we like to call him Flakey!" Meanwhile, Brianna and Tark pick up Cheetah in El Dorado and do some shopping... in New York City, where a purse-snatching leads to a reunion between Cheetah and the Avenger (formerly the Pink Avenger), aka Danielle Carter, her junior-high crimebusting partner. At Danielle's apartment, we learn that "Tark" was really Genn in disguise; he had been trying to escape Brianna after an exhausting session of lovemaking the previous night -- which hadn't satisfied Brianna. While Danielle discusses the emergence of a new cooperative of supervillains in New York, the villains themselves prepare to attack.
