December 21, 2002. Elaine is organizing a letterwriting campaign to BIOGRAPHY magazine. Here's what Elaine says: I subscribe to Biography magazine and in the newest issue (Jan 2003) there is an article labeled "Relatively Speaking". It displays various actors that have brothers/sisters in the same profession. Much to my dismay, they didn't have Eric and Julia. I'm going to email them to complain and perhaps your readers of Erics website might want to do the same. (Eric's other sister, Lisa, is also an actress.) Biography email is
December 15, 2002. Eric will be one of the guest stars when Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa co-host the 19th annual Walth Disney World Christmas Day Parade on ABC-TV December 25. The parade will air from 11:00am to 1:00pm EST and 10:00am to Noon PST. Thanks to Georgette for giving us this info in plenty of time to set up our VCRs!
December 3, 2002. Eric on CNN.COM
December 1, 2002. Eric is one of the special guest stars on Hollywood Squares from December 4 to December 8. Thanks to Elaine for tipping me off in time for us to tape it!
November 26, 2002. Eric joined his childhood friend, Yolanda King, at a safe driving rally sponsored by Autobytel in Los Angeles recently. Eric, who certainly knows the consequences for taking your eyes off the road, spoke to the crowd and signed the "Pledge to Slow Down."
October 26, 2002. Eric's Official Web Site is back up and running!
October 9, 2002. In its first two weeks on the air, Less Than Perfect has been getting great ratings holding on to 91 percent of the Adult 18-49 audience from "Life With Bonnie" and an even stronger 97percent of its Women 18-49 audience. The comedy has also improved ABC’s performance in the half-hour in Total Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 over the same weeks last year. Susan Lyne, president of ABC Entertainment announced today that ABC is committed to Less Than Perfect for the whole season. Thanks, June!
October 8, 2002. If you have been checking Eric Roberts' OFFICIAL web site then you already know that the site has been replaced by a notice that a new web site is coming soon. I thought that his first web site would have been pretty good if it had ever been finished. The second web site had a lame game (Eric's fans aren't 10-year olds!)and some great new photos but it was never finished either. Maybe this time is the charm!
October 3, 2002. Tonight at 11:00pm Eric and Eliza will be on Soap Net according to a commercial that Linda saw on TV.
October 1, 2002. If you wish to email ABC to tell them that Less Than Perfect is the best show on TV, send your email to the ABC Audience Relations Department at netaudr@abc.com. Fan mail and requests for autographed photos should be sent to: Less Than Perfect, CBS Studio Center, 4024 Radford Avenue, Bungalow 18, Studio City, CA 91604. ABC suggests sending a stamped self-addressed envelope with your request for the best chance of getting a reply.
September 25, 2002. Look at the great picture of the Less Than Perfect cast that Susan sent us from the current (9/30) issue of PEOPLE magazine! It also appears in this week's issue of US magazine. It's a full page!
September 20, 2002. Eric recently attended ABC Primetime Preview Weekend and Disney World. I wonder if his wife knows who he was hugging?? And we have photos!
September 19, 2002. Want to send Eric email? France sent me the news that Eric can be sent email at the SafeSearching fan mail web page. SafeSearching has remodeled their web site and it's looking good.
September 16, 2002. The King's Guard will be available in retail stores in the United States on Sept. 17. This news came from Terry at Shoreline Entertainment. Some of us bought copies in Canada a long time ago!
September 6, 2002. Adrian has emailed me to remind all of you that Eric's new TV series Less Than Perfect premieres on October 1 at 9:30 EST and 8:30 CST on ABC-TV. This new series is a comedy so it is a departure from the TV roles that he has played in the past. ABC has ordered 13 episodes, which is the usual number. I carelessly neglected to tape C-13 and I don't intend to make the same mistake this time. This time my VCR is ready and waiting.
August 15, 2002. Eric played a nasty but charismatic cult leader who also happened to be a werewolf in Witchblade on Monday, August 12. I watched the movie Sol Goode on TV Wednesday, August 14 in shich Eric was supposed to have a very very small role but i did not see Eric at all. Did anyone else see this movie? Where was Eric? It wasn't a bad movie. Balthazar Getty, who stars, would be better off if he looked a little less like Charlie Sheen.
August 11, 2002. I have not yet confirmed that Eric will be a guest on ORT-TV's Russian series The Force of One. Several actors with time on their hands and some people who knew Rodion Nahapetov from his earlier projects (like Sonia Laszlo and Greg Joelson) made guest appearances and, supposedly, Eric was among them. Director and actor Rodion Nahapetov is now living in L.A. which is apparently what led to shooting this Russian series there. Some finishing touches are being added in Russia. It will air in Russia in September.
August 1, 2002. Sharon came through with the news that Eric will star in the Monday, August 12, episode of the hit series Witchblade as an an international hate-clan leader accused of killing the parents of a young woman (Alexis Dziena) who seeks revenge for their deaths. Sara Pezzini (Butler) will be summoned to help her. The link to the whole story is:

July 17, 2002. An article in Pravda said that Eric brought a bear home from Russia. July 27, 2002. I received my DVD of Con Games in the mail yesterday and watched it today. Eric sings the theme song!
July 11, 2002. Eric went to the Sochi Film Festival in Russia at the end of June. Alesandra tipped us off that there are photos at Wireimage.
July 6, 2002. There are some auctions on eBay of small glass items and commemorative coins that came from Eric's garage sale when he was cleaning his NY State home. The seller is joemel who gave me a little scare when he described Eric's garage sale as an "Estate Sale." As you antiques and collectibles fans know, an estate sale is when somebody has died. But Eric was just cleaning house. Not to worry!
June 21, 2002. I would like to hear from anyone who has seen Eric as host of the tv series The Dark Realm. Thirteen episodes of The Dark Realm were filmed by Warner Brothers in 1999 - 2000 on the Isle of Mann. Eric was the host for all 13 episodes. So far as I can tell, the series has been on tv in Russia, France, Israel, Singapore and South Africa. If anybody out there has seen the series or has seen it listed on a tv schedule, please let me know. Thanks ever so.
June 11, 2002. If you want to see -- or hear -- Eric anywhere you can, you will have to get hold of the Special Edition DVD of Joy Ride. No, Eric didn't get the role of the bad guy in Joy Ride but he was one of several who auditioned for the role and the auditions are on the DVD. In the Bonus Features on the DVD there is a section called "More than One Rusty Nail" that contains the voice auditions for the film's creepy unseen villain. I listened to all of them and I thought that Eric was most scary but apparently the people who made the movie didn't.
May 23, 2002. Less Than Perfect is the name of the new ABC comedy series that will priemiere in September on Tusday night at 9:30 (8:30 Central) in which Eric plays a TV news anchor man. There's a photo of the cast on the home page
May 15, 2002. Thanks to Ian for the info that Con Games will be released on July 23 in the U.S. If you live in the UK, it is already available! That is so totally unfair! Eric just wrapped Christmas Rush in Winnipeg. He also filmed a very small role in Break a Leg. I know nothing about Eric's role in Wolves of Wallstreet but you can visit the movie studio's web site and decide for yourself.
April 16, 2002. Big news from our Canadian neighbor, LF, that Eric will be celebrating his birthday in Winnipeg. Why Winnipeg? Because that's where he's filming his new movie! It's hard for me to imagine filming a Christmas movie in this weather! The movie is called Christmas Rush and it will be on TV Dec. 25, 2002.
Even more good news! Thanks to Nancy, we have the info that Dark Angel will be on Court TV on May 18 at 5p.m. cst and on May 19 at 1a.m. cst. Dark Angel was the pilot for a series set in New Orleans that wasn't picked up. Eric was good in it and it's really really hard to get on video.
I got some bad news that I'm sort of puzzled about. Geocities says that they are shutting The Unofficial Eric Roberts web page down for three days because too many people are accessing my pages. This is impossible. They said "a web page that contains 200,000 bytes of images will only be able to be viewed about 20-25 times per hour" before exceeding the limit.
Are they out of their minds???? They have obviously mistaken this web site for either eBay or Amazon.com !!!!
April 9, 2002. Thanks to those who sent me email about Roughing It. The movie was enjoyable. Eric's role was a small one but probably the most important to the plot. Without the character played by Eric, Mark Twain would never have become a writer.
Remember that April 18 is Eric's birthday. Try sending birthday cards to his business address at Triple E Productions, 12025 1/2 Ventura Blvd.,
Studio City, CA 91604
I just heard that Eric was spotted on MTV in an urban hip-hop music video by JA Rule called Down Ass Chick. I have been watching MTV as much as I can stand to but have not seen it yet. An article in Daily Variety says that Eric is filming a pilot for an as-yet-untitled comedy series for ABC. It is about an office temp who lands a high profile secretarial job that pits her against her more glamorous and highly competitive coworkers. Variety says that Eric plays her boss who is a tv anchor.
March 30, 2002. Bad news. The Murder by Numbers that is opening at theaters on April 19 is not the movie that was also called Murder by Numbers with Eric Roberts in it. More news about when (or if) we will get to see the Murder by Numbers with Eric Roberts when I find out.
March 10, 2002. If you get the Hallmark Channel and saw Mark Twain's Roughing It, would you be willing to write a review for me to put on this web page?
February 14, 2002. Eric is in the credits as "Foreman" on the world network premiere of Mark Twain's Roughing It, a four-hour original miniseries based on Mark Twain's own coming of age presented on Hallmark Channel, Saturday, March 16 (8 p.m. - Midnight ET/PT).
January 12, 2002. Eric was just one of the celebrities who participated in the first west coast performance of Hal Willner's Closed on Account of Rabies, a staged reading of some of Edgar Allan Poe's best known writing. Closed on Account of Rabies was first performed in New York in 1995. Eric gave an intense reading of Poe's short story The Black Cat at Royce Hall, UCLA. The text of The Black Cat is available for you to read at the web site of the Edgar Allan Poe Society of Baltimore.
January 8, 2002. Eric and Eliza will give viewers a tour of their Los Angeles home on the syndicated TV show Famous Homes & Hideaways. This episode will air between 25 February and 3 March 2002. The show appears on WB affiliate TV stations so check your local TV schedule for the day and time.
December 6, 2001. Con Games is supposed to have been released on video this week but I haven't been able to find it. Has anyone seen it? It looks like Eric has gone back to the hair do that he had in Pope of Greenwich Village. At least it's not cornrows! Eric wears a badge in this one, too. Don't you just love to see a man in a uniform?
