Now this is one of the coolest fights in the Frieza saga.  Why?  Because for one thing it's the first time Piccolo has a straight-out fight since he was killed by Nappa about forty episodes ago.  The other is that it's the first time we see Frieza's second form at it's full potential.
  Here's the basic rundown on the good guy's current situation.  After the effects of Krillin's Solar Flare has warn off, Frieza returns to the battle field to discover Gohan completely healed, and stronger than ever!  This sort of unnerves Frieza, so Vegeta, Gohan, and Krillin decide to launch another attack against him.  They all fire multiple energy disks at Frieza, which engulf him in a large cloud of smoke.  Of course, if you've ever seen a DBZ fight before then you know what to expect when the smoke clears.  Frieza is just standing there, totally unharmed, with a severely pissed look on his face. 
  Frieza smirks as he prepares to dish out some serious pain, when a flash of light in front of him makes him frown.  A huge ball of white light bursts into the path between Frieza and our heroes, causing everyone to stop short, and nearly giving Vegeta a heart attack!  Of course it's Piccolo busting in to join the fight.  The glowing has subsided to reveal the Namek, causing much relief for the good guys.  After catching up a bit with Gohan, Piccolo sizes up Frieza - the powerful muscles, the severed tail, the razor-sharp horns, "I see, King Kai says he's unbeatable.  We'll find out,"
  Frieza decides to speak to the new comer, his eyes glinting dagerously, "I suggest that you go about your business Namek.  As of yet I haven't decided to kill you, but I'm real close.  Now go before it's to late.  Please, it would ease my concience knowing that I spared one of you," 
On the battlefield, Piccolo and Frieza are staring each other down in mid-air.  Piccolo breaks the silence, "Enough!  Come on, I'd like to do this while I'm still young," he addresses his friends, while keeping his eyes focused on Frieza, " Alright guys, just stay out of this if you don't mind,"
  Krillin and Gohan balk at Piccolo.  Dende has spotted Piccolo now, and is surprised to discover that he is also a Namek.  Piccolo gracefully drops to the ground and stands there, unblinkingly staring at Frieza.  Piccolo addresses Dende by his name, and tells him to take cover.  Dende is surprised that Piccolo knows his name, but takes his advice and finds a nearbye boulder to hide behind.
  Frieza blurs into view and takes his place on top of a large rock about ten yards in front of Piccolo.  Gohan and Krillin are worried about Piccolo.  Vegeta is ready to see Piccolo get his ass kicked.  The two warriors stand there looking intensely at each other for a long time.  The wind blows Piccolo's cape up behind him. 
  King Kai is sensing the fight from his planet, and remarks that while Piccolo is stronger, he's still no match for Frieza.
  Back on the planet, Gohan, Krillin, Vegeta, and Dende are still anxiously waiting for the fight to start.  Frieza finally breaks the silence by remarking, "Hm, so you think you're pretty tough, eh?  Well it won't take me long to have you face first in the dirt begging for mercy!"
  Piccolo simply replies, "Give it a try,"
  Frieza's grin turns into a grimace as Piccolo flys straight at him!  The two warriors lock their wrists together for a second, then begin to dodge each other's blows very quickly.  Piccolo throws a punch that Frieza dodges by flying straight up into the air.  Piccolo follows him.  The Namek flies up past Frieza, so Frieza flies up past Piccolo again, testing each other's speeds.  Piccolo catches up quickly and the two fighters slam their elbows together so hard that it causes a shockwave to burst out from around them!  Piccolo and Frieza both pull back and let fly with a furious series of punches and kicks, all of which are blocked or dodged.  Several more waves of energy fly outward from the two fighters.  Frieza and Piccolo both slam their knees together at the same moment, causing another huge shockwave to burst out from them.  The two superpowers smash into each other head-on, then continue their onslaught.  All that can be seen of the fight by the naked eye is a series of huge bursts of light which explode across the sky as the enemies slam into each other.  The power which eminates from these impacts causes huge, crashing waves to form in the water, and large clouds of dust to form on the ground.  The power behind the shockwaves is so great that it even pushes Gohan, Krillin, and Vegeta backwards a few yards.  There is a burst of light as a hit connects, causing Frieza to be thrown backwards away from Piccolo.
  "Come back here!!" yells Piccolo as he charges towards Frieza again.
  Piccolo throws his fists at the alien, but Frieza manages to catch both of them in his hands!  The two warriors stand there for a few seconds, locked together.  Then Piccolo's eyes begin to glow white.  Frieza realizes at the last second what is happening, and bends himself backwards as laser beams fly out of Piccolo's eyes.  Piccolo takes this opportunity to break Frieza's grip and deliver a solid kick to the right side of his abdomen, then follow it up with a powerful uppercut which sends Frieza plummeting down towards the water!
  "Piccolo won!" Gohan exclaims.
  "I can't believe my eyes!" chimes in Krillin.
  Vegeta is more sceptical, and thinks to himself, "Those idiots actually believe Frieza's finished!  But I'm no fool.  He'll be back, mark my words!" Vegeta is interrupted by Krillin giggling like a maniac to himself, "What a moron,"
