THE CAMPAIGN ZONE
Dedicated to CAM files and player-made campaigns for ATF, NATO, ATF Gold, and Fighters' Anthology.

In the spring of 2005, several Palestinian nations, including Iraq, Iran, Syria and Jordan, signed a treaty that began the alliance called the Palestinian Miltary League (PML). This immediately broke down the peace process in the Middle East. A year later, after reequipping with modernized and imported weaponry, they invaded Israel and Egypt.
As squadron leader of an F-16D team in the desert, you must slow the Jordanian advance into Africa and then throw back the PML at all their attack points.
After the Desert War ends, surprise events in Russia will force you to relocate; and force the 326th Squadron "Red Knights" to fly better than they ever have before!

Red Knights TODv1.2 for NATO Fighters (160k)
Includes 40 missions, CAM file, and required LIB
WW3: Greece and Latin America
June 22, 1998 - July 15, 1998
In April 1998, the French people elect a Communist government to power. This sets off a chain reaction in other areas. Iran and Iraq proclaim themselves "socialistic" and ally themselves with the Chinese. Turkey elects a Communist to power and then claims the Greek island of Crete in the Aegean Sea. Panamanian rebels begin to recieve arms from Cuban and Argentinian suppliers.
Turkey invades Crete on June 22, 1998, sparking a NATO counterattack and buildup in the area. Many air battles follow. Also on the 22nd, rebels in Panama attack and capture several military installations in the area. A small land and air battle quickly develops in the region.
Your job is to control different aircraft as a multiple entity. You will fly five missions with one sqaudron and then move on. Sometimes you will be American, sometimes Greek, maybe Britsh or Canadian or even Ukranian. You must defeat the Communists and establish a world that is safe for democracy.

WW3: The Middle East and France
In April 1998, the French people elect a Communist government to power. This sets off a chain reaction in other areas. Iran and Iraq proclaim themselves "socialistic" and ally themselves with the Chinese. Turkey elects a Communist to power and then claims the Greek island of Crete in the Aegean Sea. Panamanian rebels begin to recieve arms from Cuban and Argentinian suppliers.
After the defeat of the Turks, Cubans, and Argentinians, the Iraqis and Iranians attack Kuwait. Soon after, the French invade Belgium and threaten Germany and Britain with nuclear weapons. You must destroy the dictators' invasions from the air, flying everything from F-16s to MiG-29s.

Operation Bright Star
It's Egypt 2001, and the second part of World War Three is about to take place. The much-heralded millennium bug has caused the world to fall into depression and war. The United States itself has suffered a military takeover, and is just now reventuring onto the world stage.
The Chinese have attacked Vietnam and Taiwan, a war between Pakistan and India has erupted, the French are suffering fierce guerilla raids, and the Russians have fallen back into communist and nationalist rule.
You will fly for friend and foe alike, in a virtual battlefield that uses many ground objects but manages to keep frame rates sufficient. This is a very realistic - and chilling - view of the early part of the next millenium.

World War Three: Part 2 for Fighters' Anthology (1.6m)
Now includes required VARKLIB201F
An F/A-18D fires a Maverick at an Iranian barracks during my upcoming Middle East campaign
I am currently working on a complete storyline for World War Three idea from the Greece and France campaigns (above). It will have a huge war fought between communist and democratic countries. The conflict will be battled in six theatres; Greece, Latin America, the Middle East, France, and China. The first release was Greece-Latin America v1.0 (June 6), and then Middle East-France (October 3). Russia/China will be avaiable sometime before the New Year.
**Note**
These are ideas that could come into being if enough people ask for them:
Russia/China World War Three for NATO and/or ATFG;
Red Knights for ATFG/FA;
a possible brand-new campaign (send me suggestions!!)
If you have a CAMpaign of your own, are working on one, or have any comments and suggestions, let me know. If it's a CAMpaign, I will post it on this site.
An F-16 rockets off to intercept Turkish fighters
Initial notes: Making a full campaign is quite the task. First, find an idea for the storyline; preferably an original one. Make sure you have enough time to write 40 missions, and test them twice (at least). Also, make sure you are basically trained in HEX editing and unafraid to use a hex editor.
Now, you have to get the CAM files. Download them at Psycho's Combat Information Center. After unzipping them, use the CAM file that you think your storyline is closest to. I usually use the Baltic CAM file for editing.
Copy both the CAM and TXT files to the name of your campaign (ex. greece.cam). Your next step is to make all the missions. Try to stick to your storyline and keep up the quality throughout the mission making process.
After completing all the missions, begin to edit your CAM file.
The sections of the file are quite easy to comprehend.
B2....F14....ASTOVLE....F117...and so on are the aircraft. Change them and the aircraft available for missions will change.
AGM84E.JT....AIM120.JT.....AIM9M.JT.....ALE40.ECM....F500.GAS.....AAS38.SEE...etc...
These are the weapons, seekers, ECMs, and fuel tanks available for missions. Changing them is self explanatory. Changing the numbers of them is another thing entirely. I have recently compiled a list of all the quantities. Check out my Tips Page for the list.
$B01.M, ~B02.M, $BO3.M.....down to ~B40.M These are the missions that the campaign is told to play. Change these to what your missions are named, and the CAM file plays your missions.
Note about the " $ " and " ~ " things. In ATF and NATO, the " $ " was the secret symbol. The campaign missions were therefore named $B02.M and such. In FA (I'm not sure about ATFG) the secret symbol is " ~ ". Keep this in mind when naming your missions if you want them to be secret. Being "secret" makes it so that players must use the Ctrl-Alt-Shift buttons to access them in the "Play Single Mission" menu or in the Pro Mission Creator.
If you have a tip or idea about CAM editing, send it to me.
