Forrest Gump is an idiot (okay, metally deficient for all you PCer's out there) who would appear to have nothing going for him. But sit next to him for a spell and he'll tell you all about his life, like the time he met President Kennedy after drinking too many Dr. Peppers. Or he might tell you about the love of his life, Jenny. This heartwrenching story follows the life of Forrest and the amazing life he has led, at least up to the early 80's.

Miscellaneous:
Forrest Gump
was a book before a film. Some of Forrest's other adventures included
being an astronaut, living on a deserted island, and being a professional
wrestler.
There were a
few book spinoffs
The Bubba Gump Shrimp Cookbook - Self-explanatory
Gumpisms: The Wit and Wisdom of Forrest Gump - One
of those half-sized motivational books which used quotes from the film.
Gump & Co. - A sequel to Forrest Gump.
It details his life with Forrest Jr.
MPAA Rating:
PG-13 for language,
adult situations, and sexual situations.
My Rating:
A good movie
to watch when the world is not going your way. Seeing Forrest overcome
the odds makes me feel a little bit better about my own problems.
Plus it won best picture, so it's gotta be good.
