Goofs For The Princess Bride
- The dust on Westley's clothes shifts constantly throughout the duel with Inigo.
- The floor during the fight seen between Westley and Inigo moves when they land (after swinging and landing off the branch).
- The Grandfather opens the book twice.
- The car at the head of the Grandson's bed moves as camera angles change to focus on the Grandson.
- When Vizzini's boat pulls up to the harbor, he doesn't tie it up and the water takes it away. However, when Westley's boat pulls up just seconds later, Vizzini's has totally disappeared. And Westley's just seems to dock "automatically". This is not actually a "goof", since the book explains that Fezzik kicked a hole in the middle of the boat and it sunk immediately.
- Westley's sword suddenly sheaths itself when he steps towards Vizzini.
- During the Battle of Witts, Buttercup's hair goes from hanging over her shoulder and back several times.
- Running across the countryside with Westley, Buttercup's red tights disappear and reappear in subsequent shots.
- The distance between Westley and Buttercup at the bottom of the ravine changes.
- Buttercup's hair changes from nice and neat to straggly and back and forth from the time she's captured until Humperdinck takes her back.
- The lightning sand amazingly disappears from Westley and Buttercup when they start walking.
- After being "sobered" by Fezzik, Inigo's hair changes just about every time the camera comes back to him.
- Westley's wound miraculously disappears later in the film. Or perhaps he's just "always been a quick healer."
- On the castle wall, Inigo says "I'll say" without moving his lips.
- When Inigo kills the four guards, they fall dead. However, they must be only "mostly dead" because they move.
