Fred Savage
Fred Aaron Savage was born in Chicago, Illinois (USA) July 9, 1976. When he was six, he appeared in a Pac-Man vitamin commercial. Two years later, he made his feature-film debut in "The Boy Who Could Fly." However, few people knew of him until he hit the TV sitcoms as Kevin Arnold in The Wonder Years, which aired from 1988-1993. Fred won the People’s Choice Award twice as Favorite Young Television Performer, as well as two Viewers for Quality Television Awards for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. He is the youngest performer ever nominated twice for an Emmy Award as Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
Recently, Savage appeared in his first adult role in the TV series Working, where he played an idealistic young man seeking to climb the corporate ladder. He had just finished his junior year at Stanford University where he was studying English and creative writing, and had taken a year off to do the show. He said that "People still recognize me from The Wonder Years, but my being on campus might have been a novelty for about two weeks. School is the great equalizer, especially when people see you running to class or pulling your hair out over a test just like everyone else." He enjoys roles that no one expects him to do, and likes playing different types of characters.
