XF News Archive
This is where all the old XF "news" goes when my main page starts to get too large... some of these links may be obselete, but I'm leaving them here, and here they will stay, unless the dead link is a "Source." Happy Hunting!

the XFNEWS: I'm so sorry for those of you that visited today that I didn't get updates until 10 pm...
- Anyway, I've had this for a while, and finally scanned it up... it's not of good quality, but thought all the Philes out there might enjoy a little bit of the X-Files in the Sunday Paper, in the cartoon strip Ziggy...
- Screen Actors Guild Awards are on Sunday night (same time as XF), but they re-run them at 10, so you can watch XF (can't miss Arcadia!! not that i'm a shipper unlike some people cough cough AB and UK) then watch the awards after (on TNT at 8 PM and 10 PM). Both DD and GA will be presenting and are both up for awards. Let me tell you, I was flipping through an issue of EW today, and it's going to be a TOUGH BATTLE!!! They're up for Best Actress and Actor in a Drama Series (duh). Good luck to them both!!!!
- Ally McBeal's Latest Love Without A Contract- More for Ally fans than XF fans, but hey, just in case you might be interested...
- In New Jersey at least, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno is rerun at 2am Monday-Friday, so you might want to check for reruns (the ep with DD on Fri. 2/26/99)... I'll let you know as soon as I can when they rerun, but chances are it won't be for another 2 months, about... As a matter of fact, I think Dave Letterman reruns too, I don't know... Saturday Night Live does rerun for a fact.
- From Entertainment Weekly Online, they try to answer questions from the Feb. sweeps episodes, "full disclosure," or rather One Son/Two Fathers- Sweeping Questions. It doesn't tell you anything, but just goes to show how CC and his team should get their acts together (seriously, this season has been a little sloppy continuity and myth-arc wise) and that we may know more, and have a better imagination than him and his writers... as always... : )
- The X-Files is Ranked #37 from EW's list of Televisions top 100 moments... congrats!!
- Here's what I believe to be the better version of the article Secrets and Lies because it doesn't have stupid pictures (ok, they're not that stupid) but I think it's horribly confusing with the pics... pick your own. This article was the one on Two Fathers/One Son, aka "Full Disclosure" aka the Feb. sweeps eps.
- Oh yeah, 2 things I'm asking for from a lot of people- A) I was going through EW, the last issue from January, and I don't know where, but I saw this pic of DD in tight leather pants... AGAIN... hey, DD's stylist, or DD, if you're out there, do us all a favor and 1)Never, ever, ever squeeze into tight leather/vinyl pants, it's horrifyingly ugly and 2)Right now it's ok, but once your hair grows out, do not gel it back... it makes you look like a door-to-door/car salesman, suit or no suit. and B)I was watching a TV show called Extra once (it's syndicated) and they showed a pic of DD when he was in high school, in Collegiate, and he was wearing his basketball uniform, and boy, was his hairdo, as all hairdo's of the 70s were, HILARIOUS!!!! (and plus, his big nose was there, which is how you could recognize him :)). Anyway, to get to the point, if anyone has funny pics like that or that specific one, myself and all of the visitors would really appreciate it (hey, a smile a day keeps the doctor away...)
Okey dokey, that was a long update, sorry about me going off onto tangents, but u know... gotta say what u gotta say... let it all out... breathe in, breathe out... ah, the memories of health class and "Keep Calm" (yeah right!). Also, I plan on starting a "Ultimate Teen X-Philes" Mailing List/Web Ring, if you're interested, PLEASE e-mail me at tigger246@hotmail.com because this thing will only get off the ground (and give me the motivation to update it regularly) if it has 5 or more people.

the XFNEWS: An update on the Stephen King homage ep to the classic Night of the Living Dead, which will most likely be directed by Romero (scroll down for past article in this section that I posted), and here is the new one- King X-Files Details. One MAJOR possible spoiler as to this season finale...
DD/GA TV appearances from TV Now (and this isn't including their horribly bad indie/porno films)-
- For some screwy reason, Fox is apparently taking a break and on Sunday, March 14, during the regular new eps time (9:00 pm), they are re-airing Dreamland 1 only.... anyone care to explain???
- This weekend, Sunday, March 7, 9:00pm- "Arcadia"- Mulder and Scully (David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson) pose as a married couple while investigating weird occurrences in a gated community in San Diego. (this'll be a barrel of laughs!)
- The Simpsons- "The Springfield Files"- FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully visit Springfield to investigate Homer's alien encounter. Mon., Mar 8 06:30P (EST, check local listings elsewhere)Fox. (this is a must see for philes and simpsons fans alike... it's absolutely hilarious!!!!)
- Saturday Night Live- with DD- Music guest: Rod Stewart.
Fri Feb 26 06:00P - The Comedy Channel
Wed Mar 31 11:00A - The Comedy Channel
Wed Mar 31 06:00P - The Comedy Channel
(again, I don't know if this the same as Comedy Central, and I don't know if it's the same as the one produced by NBC, first aired Mother's Day '98.)
- The Larry Sanders Show- Larry (Garry Shandling) goes to unusual lengths to secure actor David Duchovny's appearance on his last show. Also guest starring Warren Beatty, Jim Carrey, Tim Allen, Jerry Seinfeld and Carol Burnett. Wed Mar 24 12:00A - Home Box Office (i don't know if this is the infamous one where DD's hitting on Larry... can't help u, sorry)
AAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, had to let that out.... just when I had finally finished scanning EVERYTHING (including pics) from the EW article, 2/5/99, EW, which only had text previously, shows up with pics, too, and more pics!!!! It's to our benefit, I guess...the article is Secrets and Lies... enjoy... sorry... i'm really annoyed...

- Yes, yes, I know, I haven't posted a transcript yet, but certain people/philes (*COUGH COUGH*)keep stealing my tape, and actually, I'd really appreciate it if they started transcribing for me....!!!!! Anyway, for those dying to find out what happened, here's a summary of it all- Jay Leno Interview with DD, 2/26/99

SOURCE: truztno1's brain... : )
the XFNEWS:
- Yes... my brain is a credible source... usually... anyway, just reminding u to set your VCR's for David Duchovny on Jay Leno (NBC, check local listings). I wonder if it's about his new movie Return to Me... anyway, we'll find out, and i'll post a transcript for all of you... enjoy.
- If u don't see updates for the next week, no, i'm not dead, please do not contact Interpol... I'm going to be teching for our high school production of Guys and Dolls... very big show, going cosmic bowling :), and spending a week in hell with Mr. Lassiter/Ms. Kuscenko's projects, but I'll try to update(not that there's been anything new going around the net anyway...). Look for the Entertainment Weekly article and Newsweek article (both old, don't panic!!!) up on my site probably next week.

the XFNEWS:
- Just added 3 Questions with... Frank Spotnitz, CC, GA, and DD... it's pretty self-explanatory... 3-questions-with... anyway, it's spoiler free, and not much but i figured, you know, as long as it's not totally useless... (and it's not)
- Enjoy "Agua Mala" tomorrow... I'm a Spanish 1 student, and even i can translate this... "Bad Water"... really, whoever came up with the title, be a little more creative... trying to be sophisticated by using foreign languages doesn't really work...looking very reminescent of Ice, i must say, but we'll see, we'll see...

the XFNEWS:Quick updates, cause I probably won't be able to get back online today-
- Check out David Duchovny Outtakes- "In this exclusive TV Guide Channel interview, the X-FIles star talks about what he really thinks about aliens and the paranormal. For more with David, watch his Insider segment on the TV Guide Channel all this week!" You need RealPlayer or Windows Media Player. If you don't have either of these, when you go to the page, just click on the options button below the pic of DD, and you can probably download it right off of there. I won't have the chance to view this today, so I can't tell you what'll be like, but hopefully it's good!

SOURCE:The Late Night TV Page, TVNow.com, and Squirrelsnest's What's New who in turn got it from Gillian and David- The Archives
the XFNEWS: Whew! that was a lot of sources...
- DD will be on Jay Leno (on NBC, check local listings) Feb. 26... what a way to start the weekend...
- Michael McKean (who, among other things, was Morris Fletcher in the hilarious Dreamland eps) will be on Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher (on ABC) Feb. 15
- ...and, this is really weird, but apparently, DD will be on Saturday Night Live with musical guest Rod Stewart on The Comedy Channel Feb. 26, 6pm (this is different from the one on Mother' Day last year because of the musical guest, but how come I never heard about SNL on The Comedy Channel? I'm cable free, so I can't help you on this one... and TVNow may have screwed up, it may have been aired on Jan.26... go figure. And i don't know whether it's the same as Comedy Central.)
ENJOY TONIGHT'S VIEWING OF ONE SON... THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE!!!!

the XFNEWS:
- Yes, and I do mean the official XF site, yes the one by Fox!!!!! (for the uninitiated) Anyway, check out http://www.foxworld.com/cc_chat.htm, where it tells you the exact time.... (drum roll, please) THAT YOU CAN CHAT WITH CC, LIVE, ON AOL! (*ahem,* excuse me for yelling, but I had to get that out of my system). For the lazy, it says that the chat will be on AOLsucks (except for this fact) Feb. 12, 5:00-5:30 PST, which translates into 8:00-8:30 EST, for all us cool east coast people! Don't have AOL? Find somebody that does... That's what i'm doing!!!! Hey, if any AOL people out there have more info on this, E-MAIL ME IMMEDIATELY! Thanx!
- Check out TVGen's (TV Guide Enternainment Network)Q&A section.... not much, but for those non-spoiler, i-only-watch-the-show people, you may not like it, though I, a moderate spoiler reader, don't see anything really surprising. And it's not only about the XF, it's about Millenium, and Harsh Realm.

the XFNEWS: Old news (CC and a lot of XF people have been hinting around, if not saying it outright in mag articles for the past year), but we have the satisfaction of CC finally saying it on national TV!!!!!! Access Hollywood reported, actually showed footage of CC saying that yes, the X-Files is going to say bye-bye come 7th season, but the show will continue a la Star Trek franchises. (BTW, this is not a transcript, so DON'T SUE ME!!!!!)
In other rather old XF news...
- Gillian Anderson's new movie, Playing by Heart a Romance/Dramedy is coming out Friday, January 22.
- Gillian Anderson can be seen on NBC's Today show (7:00 am EST) on Friday, January 22.

the XFNEWS:
X-Files Star Zaps the X-Files
Gillian Anderson said that she’s not a big television watcher, and if she weren’t on the show, she probably wouldn’t watch the X-Files, because she’s not a really be fan of evil, scary stuff like that.
She’s also reportedly been in therapy since she was 14. She says her parents didn’t exactly do a good job, and that most parents don’t.
She can be found on the cover of an upcoming Feburary issue of Jane magazine.
(truztno1's note: this is, btw, far from accurate: i saw it, remembered it as best as I could, and posted it here right after the show, so don't get annoyed, and I'd appreciate it if someone could send me an actual transcript... thanks!)

SOURCE: PARADE (WALTER SCOTT'S PERSONALITY PARADE) (a little weekly magazine on sundays only from a large New Jersey paper, the Star-Ledger)
the XFNEWS:
Q: Why is the X-Files' season debut in November, while other TV series start in September? -Jessie Bartelt, Atlanta, GA
A: Blame it on baseball. "We don't want to premiere the show in September, then have to go into reruns during the playoffs and World Series [whose potential 7th game is always scheduled for the last Sunday in October]," says one source at Fox. "We prefer to premiere it in November and run new episodes sequentially." Incidentally, X-Files star David Duchovny, 38, and wife, Tea Leoni, 32, are expecting their own Little Leaguer early in the next baseball season.
