I loved it, it was a movie that challenged our beliefs about the universe and the ancient civilizations on Earth. It was nice to see that the actors who played Kasuf and Skaara also play those characters in the series.
James Spader and Kurt Russell to a great job of portraying Daniel Jackson and Jack O'Neill although I thought Daniel was a bit too geeky in the movie.
Ra was really cool and if you love the series or any kind of scifi this is a great movie to see.

The UNC turns out to be a bad idea, they treat the Aybdans worse than Ra did and they indroduce coinage and weapons into the Abydan society. This causes uprising and caos.
In the meantime Hathor has awakened form her sleep to find Ra dead and the empire at her feet. She launches an attack on the planet responsible for Ra's death. The Abydans must once again fight for their lives and their freedom.
I liked this book just like all the other ones. It provides an opportunity to learn about Ra's past as well as Hathor and the other Gods. The introduction of the UMC provides for a lot of interesting conflict.
After the introduction of coinage and weapons into a society not ready for that kind of technology, civil unrest and vandalism are running high on Abydos.
Skaara's militia has been trying hard to quell the violence on the planet with very little success. The time is right for Hathor's return.
This was a good book as well and I like the way it explored what can happen to a society which is given knowlege before it is ready for it. It would have been nice for a new villan, but Hathor is good at what she does.
However Daniel Jackson managed to escape after returning to Earth and attempts to reveal the Abydans to the public in order to free them from their prison.
In the meantime Hathor is planning one last attack this time on Earth. Earth is now forced to do what the Abydans couldn't and unit for their freedom.
I was glad to see the end of Hathor, three novels is a little much, however I liked that the Abydans came to Earth, it was intersting see how a less advanced society would interact and adapt to our world.
A lot of mystery surrounds the planet and moving the Abydans there proves to be difficult, when an unknown race attacks the planet they must consider destroying their only way home, the stargate.
This was actually the first book that I read in the series and I really liked it, there's a lot of conflict and a good plot, the ending is a bit frustrating which makes the book even better, there's also an different enemy.

Reconnaissance
This is the most recent book in the Stargate series and by far the most intersting. Jack and Daniel have found a planet for the Abydans called Ballas, but they aren't the first to colonize it.
