Actor: Ryan Avison
Bio: Ryan Avison was casted as Rafael when the leading actor had to quit because of conflicting schedules. Ryan has majored in Drama and Theater at Dickinson State University, North Dakota. He had transferred to SKC without knowing of the directorial talent that was hiding there.
After being introduced to the Director and Commander in Chief, he was casted originally as Mephistopheles, the used-car-dealer type Angel character. After Josh Brown reluctantly bowed out as the lead role of Rafael, Ryan was bumped up to the leading role.
"I was glad to finally meet people who have the same interests as I do," Ryan excitedly said, "this would give me the chance to explore acting in front of a camera instead of an audience. And if it weren't for Josh, I wouldn't be as famous now if I stayed with my original role."
Character: Rafael; Fourth Angel Created
In the script, Rafael is a tortured soul who was forced by the All Mighty, to be banished to Hell because of an accidental death of a Human. When he was sent down below, Lucifer had tried to take him under his wing and support him. Rafael didn't like being in Hell at all and was decidedly one of Hell's outcasts.
While imprisoned, Lucifer had decided that he was going to send some of his desciples to the surface where the primitive Human live. One of the desciples to be sent into the fray was Rafael, where he was ordered to kill, or recruit evil humans for their souls. The souls inturn, will become a part of Lucifer's secret army he begun to build for a hostile take over in Heaven.
Sick of being in Hell and working for Lucifer, Rafael made up his mind that his only and last goal in life was to return to the Holyland from where he was created. By this, his only possible solution is if Lucifer were to die.
Ryan has continually showed great proffessionalism with his work and would be any big Director's dream. He does what the Director asks him to do and never, ever complains. He always has a way of impressing his peers and mentors with his wit and talent.
